What home improvement work did you do today?

The sheet metal panel? Just six screws with nut/washer on the back side. The panel is 24GA and has a 1/2” hem folded over on all four sides.

 

What to you guys use for scrap wood and wood in general storage? I'm thinking of a rolling cart of some type. Just curious what some of yall have. Thanks in advance.

 

currently a standing pile in the corner of my garage. Looks awesome. Some shelf brackets along a wall that you an lay the scrap pieces across are my usual go to. Don't have any shop space at the moment, turned my shop into an apartment for my son and his wife.

 

My shop is just my garage. We have a couple rental properties that I'm slowly becoming the handy man for along with the mechanical stuff

 

I use this to store scraps too big to throw away, wood and metal. Fits away nicely above the garage door.

It pained me greatly to burn some of those 2-3’ pieces. So many activities I could have done with them, some day. Just don’t have the space rn

 

Had a couple of new concert posters to add to my wall. The pano I took turned out good.

I have a lot of concert bandanas still left to display, looking for suggestions vs. what is in the pic.

 

Truth be told I didn't do this 'yesterday' and 'I' didn't do it - I did some of the work (helping to remove the wall; electrical work; painting; etc.). With that said, before (two rooms side by side, each 10' x 10') and after pics in our new house, bought in August. (Pro tip - if possible have the seller company remove the sticky stuff on the appliances. That sh*t took 30 minutes, a ton of elbow grease and acetone to remove. Was NOT fun.

Yes indeed! Wife tried to make it work, but we made a good amount from the sale of our previous house, and I finally said "Look, we just need to do this." Paid for it ourselves, but we were able to get everything done - and there's a LOT more work than it looks like here - for less than $30K.

She absolutely freaking loves it. Tile is almost the same type of tile they use in the subways in London; and there's plenty of room for cooking, hosting a party, etc. Only thing that sucks is that it's literally a week before Christmas so we've not even been able to decorate yet...but no worries.

 

Maybe Lin them to the ceiling? No idea but it reminds of my room when I was 13, minus the Coors Light girly posters

I'm working from home this week, so while listening to engineers babble in a meeting I moved a bookshelf into my gear room. I finally have a place for my outdoors/fishing/hunting book collection. Well, some of it anyways.
