Knocked out a wall. We bought our house in August, and for some odd reason the original owners thought it'd be a great idea to have a 10x10 kitchen and a 10x10 *carpeted* dining room.

Soon as I got here I looked at that wall and said '....that's not long for this world.' Wife was somewhat against it until she found the original plans for the house (they left us 2 copies) and one of them showed that wall being removed as an option. LOL. Suddenly she trusted me/my plans.

Wall is removed, and new cabinets/flooring/quartz countertops are on order. Unfortunately we have to wait a month for the stuff to get here (give or take), but then they'll renovate the kitchen (remove soffits, install taller cabinets, countertop, backsplash, etc). We're removing that terrible 70's paneling before they get here, and relocating the vent pipe.

    380000512_10226778853594762_767221449919_567ec6f624bc526ebd0fd168ba5073237433c583.jpg

We also got the whole house painted. (I didn't do that myself, honestly; we just wanted it done and paid someone. LOL). The far wall *was* some horrible 'accent' color; now the living room/hallway is this color; bathrooms are 'bird's egg' or some odd color (I call it 'blue'); and our room and son's room is a grayish color.

(Living room is much more put together than this now; this was right after. Finally the bookshelves Dad and I built before he passed have a prominent place. :) )

Lived here four years and my tools were always just all over the place. Planning on remodeling a bathroom this winter so picked up some new tools in preparation. Decided it was time to organize.

I hated the vinyl siding when I bought this place. Finally resided it. Almost finished. Redid garage doors so they are the same size and moved them away from the wall so all doors would be accessible. Had to back into my spot or I couldn't get out of the truck. Still have back patio to redo and pour some cement. But the front is 99% finished. One more coat of paint on trim and touch up spots. Should have everything finished in a month. Weather dependent.

Thanks. It actually came out the way I'd imagined it in my head. Was worried for a moment when starting.
I haven't started renovation in the basement because I'm not sure what you'd like. Once you get here we can get started.

Garage still messy from reorganizing, but made a DIY dust collection system (branches all blast gated). Hooks up to all my tools and functions as a table top vacuum. Added a floor sweep so I can be lazy. Ran off a pretty powerful 30 year old Craftsman shop vac that is still kicking. All in all using scrap wood and stuff I had laying around, sub $100.

Considering this is you posting this, I'm assuming all of these are reflections off of a door panel you detailed

Speakers, amp, subs, floorboard lights...and the little step thing under the bumper
Cut out some no longer used CPVC and schedule 40, replaced one spigot and installed another new one. Got the mounting board for the PEX manifold put up, and the manifold on. Need to put the valves on the manifold, plumb the spigots, then start incrementally replacing the iffy 35-year-old CPVC plumbing. PEX in place is temporary mounting, I'll be mounting it more cleanly as I get the manifold in the mix.PXL_20231008_221156921.jpg PXL_20231008_221347598.jpg
