Gate keeps 'em out; spike strips prevent them from doing that shit again, at least until they get their tires fixed.

Plus... disrespectful, stupid behavior should either hurt or cost you money :D

    BTW.... :canada:

I did do that. Between the grass and the pavers there is a series of sharpened bolts. The green Ranger was the first victim. He drove away with a spike in the tire. Other vehicles after that one showed flaws in my defense system forcing my to remedy that issue. The spikes were being pushed into the dirt. Some strips of stainless steel under the pavers acted as a backing for the spikes.

The bucket truck is the only one to thwart me designs by the shear weight of the vehicle. It pushed everything down and compressed the dirt by at least 4 inches.

Had there been a fence or gate there I’m sure the asshole would have just driven through it. If you can see across the street where the green fencing ends there are three steel poles filled with concrete. They have all been tagged by people making too sharp a turn.

I have no problem with people using my driveway for a three point turn. I have all the problems when they use my lawn to do it.

Concrete is dried. Pole is in. Didn’t even have to mess around with the pavers. The red one slid right into place.

So I replaced two steps on my deck a few days ago and realized the rest look bad enough to replace too. How would you all deal with some of these cracks in the stringer? I tried wood putty on a few and it worked on one but already split on another. I may not have let it dry long enough before driving in new deck screws.

Also, how long should I wait before staining pressure treated wood? Seeing conflicting info online.

    This crack is the worst.

    Looks good!
Throw a towel on it and keep it wet for a week or more, it'll get a lot stronger that way.

Concrete takes should take 30 days to fully cure, if it dry too fast it just crack.
Or just water it every day for a few weeks

    Yep.
I've worked on DOT jobs in the past and they actually lay down burlap and keep sprinklers running 24/7

Done and done. Sprinkler head is right there. I’ll run the sprinklers twice a day to soak them. Thanks.

On the smaller cracks, I would run a 2" or 3" screw through the crack to hold it together. On the larger posts/larger cracks, I would run a lag bolt/washer/nut through them.

Cleaned it out big time. In the last 2 weeks, I've

    - applied for a job 1K miles away
    - offered the job 1K miles away O_O
    - accepted said job
    - scheduled a PODS moving thingamabob
    - cleaned out 1/2 the stuff in our house
    - had the next door neighbors' kids tell us they want our house at asking price

So yeah, been a tad bit busy.

Also, for Father’s Day my father in law and brother in law wanted to help me with the treehouse. We decided to tackle the front railing…only took us about 4 hours, 3 guys, 8ft of railing lol. So sad.
