Once the shop is built, I'll have a loft for all the squatters to go. Floor will have a drain to wash vehicles as well as a 2 post lift....a small cover charge will suffice

I believe we hit the water table. At the deepest, it's about 18 for deep. A couple weeks after we dug it, we caught about 3-4" of rain. My neighbor text me saying the pond was full. I laughed. That afternoon I went out after work and it was full to the top. It's only a quarter acre size or so pond. But it's nice to have. Especially now that the kiddos are getting older and enjoy it like this. Snakes and turtles too if course, but we swim in the pool, so no worries about that. Although we fished a 6" yellow belly turtle out the pool last week

Yep. They can be a fire hazard and cause high energy usage.

It's not too hard. We bought our house and 2.5 acres of land back in 2008 for just a little over $70K. :)

I live in Missouri, so it's a smidgen less than that. ;) But it's appreciated more than enough that 7 years ago I was able to get a 2nd mortage to build a 700 sq ft extension on the house, and pay it almost 1/2 off. (I'tll be paid off in 7 years, if not less than that.)

New fridge day!! I finally had enough of the Samsung POS that came with our house. I replaced it with a GE fridge that has a way better layout.

Quite unique. Not my taste. A huge turnoff if they ever choose to sell. But appears well done.

Thanks, it’s one of so many quirky design elements they wanted. They said it’s their “forever home”. I can’t emphasize how excited they are to see each part of the home coming together.

Finally got my beam facade installed. It was a beast. All fit together thank goodness!! Had to assemble the center column support piece in place, so still need to fill, finish and clear it.

Garden prep today. Total beginners and we're starting late but gonna give it a go anyways. I added some compost the main boxes and I'm in the process of adding soil to the small box. Main boxes will be veggies; corn, carrots, onions, and zuchinni. Buckets will be taters. Small box will be herbs; cilantro, basil, oregano and thyme.

I've never heard of growing potatoes in a bucket. The one time I did it they took over the damn yard.

Growing them in the bucket is supposed to prevent them from taking over the entire garden and make it easier to harvest.

That's good. It'll be interesting to watch. Mine didn't take over the garden. They left the garden and infiltrated the lawn.

The material you have there is natural marble. Don't use Bar keepers friend on it. its good for engineered quartz products or granite for cleaning. Seeing the the photo that was posted, it seems if the material is not polished, but more so a patina (slight polish) finish? Here's how you can tell, look at it from the side and catch the relection of light of the surface. If its super shiny almost like a mirror then its polished. if the finish is muted/ flat on all the surface, then the material has a honed finish. Or the other possibility with age of the material and time the finish was worn off.

Either way, reach out to me here or pm, I can help you get that cleaned up. It's my trade specialty.
