What home improvement work did you do today?

I'm outnumbered and the last time my wife sat in the toilet bowl because I left the seat up is not a fun memory.

 

That’s on her. When’s the last time you peed on the lid of a closed toilet?

 

Yeah, that's what I said. Again. Not a fun memory. This is close but more violent.

 

My roommate in college got drunk and peed in his closet once, maybe twice.

 

What was her argument or complaint? If she wanted the seat in a certain position, why didn’t she put it there? You weren’t even in the room, how was this your fault?!?

For starters, I’m on the internet on my phone far from her perview, so I’m currently, with much bravado, talking out of my ass. My “flippant attitude” about it is a fabrication, a wishful thinking, a ruse. And no, I could not hear Mrs. Bandito yelling. Not over my wife’s own.

It’s the short deuce that has to fall a farther distance that really kicks up the waterworks. A poor man’s bidet.

Reminds me of a friend who had some cows in Idaho. Their names were Medium and Rare.

 

A home designer friend of mine told me a story about his buddy visiting from out of state. They were at a home site in a very deer friendly subdivision in Lakeway, I think. It’s in the Austin area. Anyways, they are walking through the yard and a deer walks up to them. His buddy puts it in a headlock, pulls out his knife and yells “Do you see this?!!!!” My friend had to tell him to let it go, because it was probably somebodies pet.

Thank you, many mistakes were made... At the end I hoped to get it finished within my PTO but ended up taking two weeks past that time frame... Learned a lot and at the same time still have a lot more to learn.

 

Wow!! Your craftsmanship is amazing and the tile is beautiful. Giving them a shower like that is going to increase the water bill for sure!

The old oven finally died. The new replacement showed up today. Definitely better quality than the old one from 1978

Thank you kindly, it's not perfect, if you look closely there are some imperfections but it is a learn-as-you-go type of project. I had a great deal on the shower panel at HD (around $500) and took out all the restrictors, so yeah the boys are loving he pressure and flow!

 

Been working on this a few hours at a time here and there for a few months. Man door and wall batt insulation were done last year. Hung drywall to finish the back wall and OSB on the right side and garage door walls. Blew cellulose in the attic after my last air sealing post. I wayyyyy underbudgeted the time it would take me to finish drywall, much respect to the pros! (Except for the builders who did such shotty taping work for fire code only wall). Looking forward to painting and putting this garage back together.
