Any idea what it currently costs per sq ft these days? Our 30 year old concrete driveway needs to be torn out and replaced but I have no idea what it would cost. I think I would also need to take down the massive oak tree next to it because I believe the roots are what caused a lot of the damage.

I went with asphalt for my driveway
Believe it’s about 38 ft wide and about 32 long. They did the removal of my old concrete driveway, added base and then paved. $11,800

Concrete porch was 5 yards he said.
    The main part is 6x24
    2 radius stairs
    Walkway was around 3x28
I removed the old porch and stairs myself and supposedly saved some money.
    $200 coloring
    $800 stamping
    $3800 concrete/labor/base
    $4800 total.

it’s hard to know if I could do better in price since trying to get a contractor out here for a bid and work is nearly impossible so I went with availability.

I just got a quote recently and they charge by the yard here, $170. It was $100-125/yard pre crazy times.

Ok sod is in and some of the mini ex tracks are fixed. Concrete still needs another day before expansion cuts but it’s a big improvement curb appeal wise over the old look.

I see why you replaced it, it looks like somebody was taking a dump on your patio. :eek2:

Seriously though, it looks great. Nice job! :fistbump:

Church tables delivered. Glad to have that project done. Getting good polyurethane coats without blemishes is an art that I still haven't mastered, but sometimes good enough is good enough...

"Stuck behind enemy lines" - are you trapped in Canada along with @Outbound ?! If so, @Azblue and I are still in planning stages (he keeps finding beer sales) for our "Great Canadian Invasion". Let us know and we can pick you up along with Outbound.

Guys, so I have this hutch thingy I repainted. It's got these old weird looking hinges that I need to replace. I can't find them online. Or does anybody have any ideas on how I can put different type of hinges?

Not sure where you are at in Central Texas but if you are near Gonzales, they have a place called "Discovery Architectural Antiques" that has a ton of old hinges and (old) shit. You might contact them and ask them if they have any of those hinges.

At the youngest kids school; I have a feeling some moms are going to be digging again! Roots in the main line, there was directional clean outs maybe 20’ or less from the clogg but I kept binding up with the 3/8 cable in the big 4” main, so I hit it from the vent right above the two clogged toilets, cleared it, but kept pulling up grass(roots) but I didn’t have a cutter head. I’ll try and work on locating it next week and see what or when they wanna start digging hahah 2A1F81FD-822A-47D0-8EB4-8F897ED303F3.jpg

Again, throw salt down the drain regularly, or do you have a softener system on the house?
