He doesn't plan on ever leaving.

I was planning on fixing some gaps in our floor a few years back and Bob Villa had something about staining jute rope and shoving it in there. Apparently the rope will expand and contract with the floor. I can't find it now but I did find this:

Inspector came today and checked out the deck. She spent 2 minutes looking at it and went "I'm happy. This ain't falling down".

    Project officially complete. :D

Did you have her double check your rail spacing and the run? You might want to call her back and tell her she missed something... :boink:

Nah. She made sure my posts were bolted to the screw piles and the ledger board was bolted to the rim joist. She didn't even pull out her tape measure. She seemed to think it was just a deck, not a bridge. Once I told her I was a welder and my dad was a former carpenter, it was almost like she thought we knew what we were doing.

I needed a decent pressure washer for stucco, lots of concrete, and washing cars/trailers. I really didn’t want to buy a new one at 550 and up (some models I wanted were ~1100.00). Found a light used one a couple hundred and was pretty happy with the purchase. This was used to power wash a garage floor before doing epoxy coating. 2-3 hours on it. Since my patio is 20’x50’ and driveway 24’x40’…should get some good use out of it.

My trailers will be a lot cleaner.

I think I saw something where a guy used a rubberband and a thumbtack to get past those. How are your deadbolts?

Does an on site inspection by a government official supersede that of a guy looking at pics on an internet forum though?

Deadbolts are good. Both the deadbolts and door guards are backed up by shall we say...more effective...security measures.

In that case, the screw slots aren’t uniformly lined up on the receptacle you installed.
