I got a little farther with my deck wrecking. It just got too hot out there and I had to give up before I burst into flames. This is gonna be more like one of those marathon projects.

I wish I lived out in the middle of nowhere so I could do that. Neighbors would probably be a little upset to hear my circular saw going after 10 pm.

Got a little more done today. Tweaked my back again so this will be all my progress for a few days. I did outlast my two circular saw blades though. I think I need to get some carbide tipped ones.

Sunburn, and you'll feel cooler when air blows. Ever wondered why people wear long clothes in the desert?

@TaquitoBandito , it begs the question, why not pavers the whole area? It would look epic, and pleasure will be much longer lasting that 5yrs.

Prob due to soil. Out here, pacers do not fare well with our soil so it becomes uneven and you’re packing sand into the anually

Pretty much what Maximum says and the shirt is a Hurley UV shirt or some shit. It doesn't take long to burn up down here.

That might be where I go with it. I've toyed with the idea of just putting a few sections in with brick paths to them but putting pavers in is on the table.

This place seems to rain dirt, it's the damndest thing I've seen. About 3 or 4 inches under the dirt, near the house there's actually an old sidewalk.

Whatever I do, I'm just trying to be smart about it. I want it to look good but I don't want to deal with having to constantly maintain it. My wife doesn't like my grass idea so I'm gonna have to come up with something. :(

In all seriousness, I'm thinking stamped concrete!!!

    Several benefits:

    Should last much longer
You won't be doing the labor
You can let your wife pick out color and pattern which will get her immediate buy-in
You'll be able to show off your new "stamped concrete" patio to friends and neighbors and be a neighborhood trend setter!!!!
You get to sit back, play foreman and drink a nice cold Purplesaurus Rex!!!!!

    You're welcome

Check the build link in my signature.
Is that Freud not carbide? Shit - I didn’t know they made circ saw blades that weren’t. Stick to 24+/- tooth framing blades would be my bet.

i just saw this when googling
No experience with it, but looks like a beast
