    Ok, I need help here.
I’m doing some cleaning of the draining in the bathroom sinks. The first one- no problems.
The second one appears the acid from toothpaste or whatever has eaten away at the ring to where the drain assembly goes back into.
Basically this drain assembly has nothing to screws back into, into the sink.
Can someone link me what I need? Amazon preferred as it’s faster

    Flux capacitor!
This simple diy project has been on my to do list for years. I wish I had done it sooner. What a difference it does for looks, keeping water out and cleaning out my garage. The backer rod is $5 for 20’ and the self leveling sealant is $15. I cleaned out the remaining black expansion joint and the 100 plus leaves that used to always find their way into the cracks. My next project is going to be installing a new concrete overlay over my existing concrete driveway.

Yes, those are what I've used to replace drains. The drain ring screws into the assembly or whatever it's called and sandwiches the sink bottom, I believe. I hate plumbing, by the way. Just in case I've never said that before.

I'll be paying for today for the next couple of days. The widow next door had some low hanging pecan tree branches blocking her sidewalk. I cut those for her.
Finished sanding and painting/staining our front bench. Our neighbor on the other side had a bleeding event on our front porch this Spring and his blood stained our bench pretty good. Anyways, that's all taken care of now. He also has Life Alert so now he can just press a button if he needs me
I cut, attempted to glue, sanded, and a partially sealed my little cedar table top that I'm gonna attach to a pecan tree trunk. I didn't have clamps big enough hold to the sides together when I did it so the glue didn't hold. I have two huge metal military cabinets from Fort Hood that have these metal divider things. I drilled holes in two dividers and used those as braces and then water sealed the bottom.
After this project, I'll be tackling staining the decks. Yay.

Sink itself doesn’t have threads for the tailpiece. Your chrome insert in the bowl (that the drain seals against) is what that threads into. Seat it with plumbers putty…

Ever since I moved into my house one thing has bothered me, but its always the last thing on my mind. @FrenchToasty and @bmf4069 you'll love this one.

The water heater vent. What the... so much wrong, like the mosquito at the nudist colony- where do I start? The grade going down then up, the joints, 3 sections of tube held together by tape...
    20211003_153738.jpg

Check out the "elbow". They got really creative and cut up a tee to close one end off and make a 90 out of foil tape. They did one where it hits the outlet and one on the heater hat.
    20211003_153731.jpg

Thats better. Cost me all of $11 for a 5' sheet of tube and an elbow.
    20211003_181137.jpg

Not a great feeling improvement but at least I know I'm not getting poisoned in my garage.. it does look a lot better now. Sometime next year I'll patch the drywall up. Thats damage from a leak I fixed a while ago.

Hired a college kid to do some landscaping cuz....well f*ck weeding flowerbeds. I die enough of that as punishment as a kid and this was supposed to be my wife's ongoing project. I screwed it up by ironically doing just that, with 3 young kids and a 4th on the way . But hired a kid to weed the flower beds and spread about 80 bags of mulch.
    A few before and afters.

Made me think of all the flower beds and boarders around every damn tree in my first house early in my marriage. Now there is one area (raised planters) that I can't get the lawnmower right up to. Weeding sucks.

Went to feed the cats last night and noticed water all over the floor. Noticed the water heater supply line leaking so shut it off with plans on dealing with it today... But then I noticed this.

    PXL_20211004_130005007.jpg

All of the plastic at the top of the heater was melted. Shut it down and disassembled the vent to find a dead Screech Owl about a foot in, poor guy. Reassembled and verified the draft was working well

Went back at this morning to find the leak.
    PXL_20211004_121959062.jpg

Then with the old hose in hand visited the local Ace Hardware. Hopefully we won't have another leak now. Also on the list is to find the tallest ladder in the land and install a new cap on the chimney.
    PXL_20211004_131210685.jpg

My vent probably still worked better than @Darkness piping even with the owl in it lol

I think mine was getting the job done, it just was probably leaking a little carbon into the air.

Installed my LED strips into light header. Now I just need to marry it to the mirror frame.

Day 5 Well a really busy day here, so multiple pics. Tomorrow we have 9 yards of concrete showing up at 7:00 AM.. NICE!

Here is a close up of the replacement retaining wall, the old one was such crap, it was falling over, and was only 2 ft tall. All it was for was to divert water from the neighbors yard.

These next 3 are are the wire mesh going down, 700 SQ FT!

We added a third person, Albert, to the crew. That guy is a monster. Saturday he loaded the contractors truck full up with the remaining dirt and assorted rock!

We will be painting the garage same colors as the Tuff Shed, and with luck will be picking the Bridgeport Mill up next week!

    Tomorrow pics of the pour!
