    Thanks for the compliment !!!

Been doing this for our customers for over thirty years ….it was fun to do another one for ourselves.
…now that’s done and the wife is happy I can focus on the Tundra

The good news is I have a new hot water tank and it's working fine. The bad news is I now have a super small drip where the recurc pump connects to a t in the copper line. The bid included replumbing the recurc pump, but they deny responsibility for the leak and want $350 additional to replace the t. They reconnected about halfway between the green handle and the 90° fitting at the top.

Question 1 - pay the $ or raise a fuss?

Question 2 - the fitting dries and the leak stops when the pump is running due to the heat in the line, I guess. If I apply JB weld would that potentially stop this pin hole leak? Another product maybe?

If the leak isn’t in the parts they replaced, then I can see why they wouldn’t warrant it, unless the bid specifically included replacing all the piping to the pump. As with any existing conditions, you can’t hold them responsible for something breaking that they didn’t actually work on unless you can somehow prove they broke it (old plumbing is a bitch like that).

If the leak is in piping they replaced, then they should be fixing it, and I’d raise hell if they didn’t.

I tend to agree, but to be clear there was no leak before the work. I suspect the line was twisted some resulting in the leak. Either way, I'll probably try to seal it and pay the money if it doesn't work. I knew I couldn't simply pay someone and go fishing cause it never works that way, lol.

Very true. Hard not to disturb something when doing repairs like that.
Had I been doing it, I would have planned on re-piping all the way to the pump. But I only do it in the side for friends and family. My day job isn’t plumbing.

2wks post sod install. Couple hot spots that are getting better with each day. Still going to wait another 2wks at least before first cut. Trying to keep this stuff green at the height of summer has been a fun challenge to say the least.

Sod always provides instant satisfaction. As for the hot spots, I would water mine three times a day until it was well established.

Most of it has finally rooted down. The spot in the top right corner of my first photo was x3 larger and all brown just last week. I think catering to the lawn each day has instantly turned me into an old man haha

I haven't done it since we bought the house in 2019. I'll probably do it once a year from now on since we tendto have hard water here.

Finally finished the trim and stairs…..took about ten days total waiting for some material in between laying the floor, doing the baseboard, shoe molding and door trim and finally the stairs. Again, I really wish they didn’t discontinue the cap a tread product that I had for the basement but this was the only other option. For some reason the stair nose looks way darker on the picture; blends much nicer in person
