The tree is a V split. It's anchored to the other half of the tree at the base of the 4x4 with another joist and two straps. Figured that'd be enough

On non work days when I shower in the afternoon, a shower beer is more important than soap.

I haven't drawn a free body diagram in more than 20 years, so if I missed something I wouldn't be surprised. But this got my geek working a little bit. I thought there needs to be more on the left side. What @ScenicRoute is saying it that from the picture you have this.
    20210412_202659.jpg
What you should have should be more like this, without having a lot of other inputs.
    20210412_202853.jpg
If what you said you have looks more like this, you should be OK. No guarantee, YMMV. I used to be an engineer, now I'm just management.

Showering in beer would mean some goes down the drain. No bueno.

So you are saying it can be done. I'm gonna get "Vendor" under my name yet... "TaquitoBandito's Beer Bath Tinkle Remover and Recyling System". Rolls off the damn tongue (that'll be the slogan). I can use my proceeds to help fund @Azblue and my trip to overthrow Canada.

Speaking of that, have we set an invasion date yet? I've got a camping trip set up for July so that's not really good for me. Maybe some time in August.

August sounds like a winner to me. That’s the peak of the heat here so sounds like a great time to head North for a little invasion. Hopefully @Outbound and @Cpl_Punishment will be around. We’ll need guides because I’m not sure if I’ll have to buy the Canadian maps for my GPS...

Perfect. Should I bring my travel trailer, or are we just going to plunder accommodations as we go?

Cool, I'll bring it then. I will, however, have to plunder gas often, you know a Tundra towing kinda eats the fuel.

Hmmm. I think Canadian fuel is bought by the liter too. May be cost prohibitive. We might have to park on the American side and see if @Outbound will pick us up at the border.

I thought it was litre up there...
Either way, gas prices look cheap until you realize you essentially need to multiply it by 4 to convert it to American units. Just like going 80 up there feels slow as hell.

This trip sounds amaZing. Should make for an utter disaster of a documentary....I’ll start charging my camera batteries.
Make sure to bring enough freedom units to get you back into the states at the end of your trip though.

There's like...3 highways. Tough to get lost. I do charge a very reasonable fee of only 2 Green Cards for my guiding services though. You'll benefit from high quality fishing spots, excellent yet little known campgrounds, local brewery recommendations and a complimentary meal at the finest BBQ joint my town has to offer.

I think current pricing averages $4 - $5 per gallon, depending where you are. Southwest BC is probably edging near $6/gal while where I'm it is closer to $4.

So here's how it's designed. Pouring rain so can't get a good pic. Excuse the poor handwriting lol.

Top 4x4 is held from left to right (two steel L brackets with two 4"x3/8" lags into the tree and two 2"x3/8" lags into the 4x4 in each). Top 4x4 is into the tree with two 8"x1/2" lags and a steel strap SDS screwed into the 4x4 and two 4"x1/2" lags into the tree. Bottom 4x4 has the same done. Then the two 4x4s are joined with two plates on either side and 18 SDS screws a piece. Still think it needs a third support? I legitimately don't know. Math and physics weren't my strong suit lol. We haven't tested it yet as only one of the carabiners is rated for load.

Edit: Max weight it will have to hold is maybe 250 lbs. Extension from the tree from the top bolts is 3.5 feet and from the bottom support is about 2 feet roughly (making the top 4x4 split into 4 feet of length before the support and 2 feet after the support). Tree is about 2 feet in diameter on both splits so it's a healthy, big tree. Also the bottom 4x4 is centered on the tree. Pic doesn't show it but I'm also not an artist (clearly).

I've always wanted to be on a movie poster!!! I was on the side of a milk carton for 5 or so years when I was younger and, well, now I'm starting to feel misunderstood again...

It would have to be a two part documentary or maybe a miniseries. If we can get to 100 episodes (easy, peasy), we can go into syndication and the proceeds from that would help pay off our credit card bills for all of the gasoline we'll be chugging up there.

I can see the ending with @Cpl_Punishment standing at the border with @Outbound. Outbound will have a big smile on his face while holding his luggage and neck pillow. Cpl Punishment will be holding a sign that says "Welcome to Canada, now leave."
