Siding guys showed up on Monday. Goodbye 50yo Masonite.

Found some mouse damage on the back wall of the garage. Pulled new wires, fixed insulation and added outlets for the smoker.

I was really hesitant on them doing it this time of year. They wont work in 20° or less and they were here everyday last week. These guys are animals...

Added another 32 sq ft (another 8X4 sheet) of attic flooring for more storage up there..
Already had most of it done over the garage.
Got my TOYOTA bin and stock front struts and rear shocks off the rafters...
That's a gas line in the middle...

Also added a WIFI booster to the garage.
My steaming Sirius/XM kept cutting out this week and this fixed it.
I get 50 Mbps in the house (what I pay for) but it was dipping down under 4 Mbps in the garage..
A little concerned about the other plug ins at the outlet, but it is better now.
Got it up to 14 mbps, good enough to stream music on the PC and video on the TV...........

Did you make sure to unbox and let the planks sit out before installing? Cali bamboo is great, only issues I have heard/seen is when people do not let the planks acclimate as required.

We used the Cali Vinyl Pro that doesn't need any acclimation. They still sat overnight before installation though.

MDF, dowels, some wood glue, and way too much time in the garage my friend. Easy to make just tedious.

Had the plastic ones before. They're decent but I had a few posts break and fitment issues. Spent a few hours for the past couple days to make them. I enjoy making stuff from scratch so it's "therapeutic." Gives me some calm from the day job.

I got all the old decking removed and replaced on this third story deck over looking the lake. Getting the materials up all the stairs was a royal pain! Just glad it’s all done and ready to dry out to prep for the paint next.

Looked at all the ‘space’ I have to work in in the crawl space under part of my master bedroom. The walls aren’t insulated so that’s the next task. Weird to anyone else that the walls are sloped? Just found it odd. Here’s to hoping there are no nasty spiders or nails sticking up under the vapor barrier to end my life.

The house walls aren’t insulated, or the foundation walls aren’t? I’m not coming up with many logical reasons that you’d have tapered foundation walls unless they aren’t very deep and they were looking to incorporate footing into the wall as one pour. Or they were added after the house was already standing and they did some real poor-boy forming on the inside.
