Support joists that will go in after the completion of the decking. I typically do it on the front end, and use 2x2s cut to size where I can but usually use 2x4s. This round didn’t allot for it. It’s 100 degrees and I have two amateurs helping

Spent the last 2 days plumbing and installing a sediment filter, carbon filter, and a 44K grain water softener. Turned on the water and have 3 leaks - pin hole in the middle of a 30" section of pipe, a brass cock valve, and 1 pvc joint. Soon i will have filtered soft water for washing the truck

    Nice work @Eclipsed & Floating
Attention to detail is great. I like the angled look much better and how its inlaid and bordered by the framing

The angled look is MUCH more time consuming, but the V will be showcasing the steps when I get to those

Definitely worth the extra effort man. Looks great.
I did a "picture frame" all the way around my deck when I did it last year. Took me days and days of work to make it happen, I didn't have to do it but I like the look even if no one else notices
You can kinda see it here. I prewashed it a few weeks ago

Mine is probably basic, I have a little construction experience luckily, but this was tough for me. I just can't stand seeing the endgrain on decks. Glad it's done lol

Looks good, but just a suggestion, you need to break your joints on a joist. I have never seen anyone try to use blocks like you are at the butt joints other than a mistake, and even then it would need to go joist to joist. It will be a hazard quickly imo, and would fail inspection most places.

Had to get rid of the Dozer today. :-(
Ran it into the dark last night trying to tidy up the front acreage.

The quality isn't the greatest but for the $97 plus tax I didn't expect a lot. A lot of reviews complain about trouble aligning hardware, I had no problems with assembly but it is a bit crooked. The one thing that's useless is the rubber feet they provide, I used some self adhesive rubber caps I had instead.

Link below, the 2 bike version is different. Only the 4 bike version free stands.

This was done 2 years ago and my first time. Over 2200 s/f of laminate. Title and carpet down stair removed and replaced with laminate.

I’ve been MIA on here for a while. Been pretty busy around the house.

I built a miter saw station in my shop. Shop furniture doesn't need to be ugly. I used close to 20BF of walnut that my grandfather milled 40+ years ago for the face frame and made sure to have continuous grain throughout the drawer fronts.

    FB4264AC-1397-4617-8685-CFF72CC8C42F.jpg

And added a deck to the house

In the home stretch of finishing my deck extension/stair project. Decking is complete, new verticable railing is completed. Stair skirting and header skirting is going up. Just a few things left to complete, i.e. lights, staining cedar posts, and a few more pieces of skirting. Then we'll have some landscapers come in and resod the lawn and put in some plants/bushes.
