Replaced all the old attic vent intakes since the paint was chipping and the screens were clogged and super dirty. Should improve airflow I assume. 31 total vents, still have about 9 to do but my neck hurts and I was getting too dirty haha

Redid the fence / gate on the side of the house where I park the camper. Faced a 10’ pasture gate with pickets and hung it off a 8” pole 3’ in the ground with 300lbs of concrete. All that is left is to make a 2 picket panel that is on hinges and spring loaded to cover the hinge portion of the gate. That way it will fold open when the gate opens and close over the opening when it’s closed.

Just before we moved in, I paid to have it done. Worth every penny! Did it myself in a previous home. I prefer the pro version!

I did it myself in a prior home. The garage was 900 sq ft and it cost me almost $1,000. This garage is much smaller and it cost about $2,000. The difference in quality is amazing. Not just because of my (lack of) skill, but the product itself.

I miss having a wood stove. I had this wood stove installed for a client last year in their master bedroom.

I assume you know about the Allen key to turn it manually? Also, I throw a bunch of ice down there to clean it out every once in a while.

I may need to be educated on the allen key thing... :monocle:

If I go more than a week without running it, it will seize up. So I have to uninstall it, and hammer at the top end with a flat screwdriver to get it moving again. The damn thing is only two years old...

Maybe I can just fish the allen key around the chicken remnants then and it'll work.

Well, since they're pretty cheap, maybe replacing it with one that works is easier than "I have to uninstall it, and hammer at the top end with a flat screwdriver to get it moving again." Also, if I have to dispose of a whole chicken, it goes over the fence into the rude neighbor's yard. How'd this get here? I guess a hawk dropped it:confused:

I’m a stubborn ass is the answer to that first part. “It’s only two years old and I bought the expensive brand for a reason” mentality gets me :bananadead:

Now if that chicken learns to fly, where it lands would be up to chance, and the blame shouldn’t fall on me at all :D

I removed and replaced my existing 3/0x8/0 mahogany door that had ornamental iron bars on it.

    Before:
    95096632-2EB9-48EA-9D90-3E726DE6356B.jpg

I replaced it with a 3/0x8/0 door with pearl glass. I ordered the new door slab without the hinges mortised and without the locks bored yet. I made all my hinges and door hardware at the same dimensions as my original door. I painted the new door and my door jamb in a dark iron ore color.

just basically gives you a handle to turn it. Wonder why it’s jamming up though.
