    Absolutely beautiful!
When I started with my current job I was living on a horse farm in Wellington Florida, and there were some places like that around. Totally breathtaking!

Indeed they are beautiful! Some of my clients have more in one horse than a home. Horses are amazing animals and therapeutic too.

What is a gopher shovel? I have to dig a couple up to add some height to get it above the grass line.

Same length handle as a standard spade, but the spade is about half the size. Not a trenching shovel. I call it a teaspoon or girl shovel lol.
Also I sharpen it on our grinding wheel to help cut through roots easier. Our irrigation supply house carries them.

I’d say the head is about 6 to 7 inches wide.

I did one with mesquite on Saturday. Pulled my gutters, caulked, and painted my fascia prior to new gutter install. This was after fishing on Friday and hanging with the roofers. I like to watch people work. Of course I also had to clean some fish. We would have had more but storm ran us off the lake for an hour.

No I call that the Harvey wall banger LOL. That one is too straight.
Here’s what I have in my shed at home for comparison. The one on the left is the Gopher shovel. They also make one with a little more pitch to it for digging a small diameter hole but deep. I love this little guy. EE9C55D8-0CA6-40E4-BDBE-857A392A092F.jpg979E4E7F-F147-40E4-AC24-631B571D59E7.jpg

This week when I could find some time after work, I put together the trusses for the shed. We also finally got the path started in the back yard (we contracted this one out - too much concrete for me) - they started laying borders this week. Today my oldest daughter and I spent a lot of time framing up the walls for the shed. Hope to get them standing and the trusses installed tomorrow.

Mixed and poured 10 - 80lb bags of concrete today. It's for the base to a wood shed I'm building with my brother at his house. Will hold firewood for maple syrup production.
This little electric mixer was a lifesaver in 95 degree heat. Mixes 80lbs at a time in about 5 minutes. I just set it up over each tube and dumped it in. Shocked how well it worked out.

Oh yeah it was humid but not too bad maybe 60%. tomorrow its gonna be 100° with humidity of like 80% so it'll feel like 115 or so. Won't be working in that weather. Today was pushing it.

Jeebus. Even 60% is nuts. It was about 10% here today. They always joke "yeah, but it's a dry heat". That is a true statement. I can work in 105 degree weather here in the desert - kind of sucks, but I can do it. Out east - if it is a 105, I will be inside working on a cooler full of beer.

Hahaha yeah the humidity can get to you. Some days here, and I think tomorrow will be one of those days, you can see the air, idk if that makes sense. Its crazy. New england has some crazy weather swings. Gets into the negatives in Feb then add wind and it's like-40 and then 100s and humid in July. I can remember days where it was 50 degrees different than the day before.

Thanks man. I am doing a mini restore on it till the next Tundra comes out. Then I will keep it and get a crew max. That way I still have an 8 foot bed. The funny thing is those wheels have the lug pattern for a Tundra but the -12 offset makes them not play well lol.

Replaced our 12’x30” pool with a 15’x42” pool. Was supposed to dig it down deeper to be flush with the yard - but didn’t want to have more sand brought in.
Next year plan is to dig down and install a larger pool and build a deck around it flush with the yard.

Also started scraping out an area for the tractor shed build starting soon.

Temperature in the 90's, dew point in the 70's and heat advisory out. Guess what took a shit two days ago and it is hot as fuck in my house at 5am? Silver lining is I have had a ton of issues with this Geo unit since it was put in 7 years ago. Called the company that makes it yesterday, had a good conversation, and have a whole new unit coming hopefully Monday.
