Here is what the yard is looking like now. Planted 19 plants, relocated 3 plants, and still have 4 plants left to place. Only hit one sprinkler line and was pissed to find it's that thin wall shit, I exposed the area and will fix that section tomorrow after work. Sprinklers off for now.

I learned that myy puppy is afraid of the black plastic pots, so they're being used as defense for a few delicate plants temporarily. Also using a few slices of palm tree to guard a new plumeria.

Un-painted DYI, in the home depot gas piping section. Did something similar for a ladder and handle for the kids hideout.

I’m working on a lifting overhead garage storage shelf that I plan to put the snow blower on... well probably trade off with the lawn mower based on Season.

Just a suggestion for some additional storage over your garage doors if you need it. Do a search for “overhead garage storage”. I’ve done this for several projects and it’s amazing how much you gain in storage space!

Already did that, just not over the door. Wanted to double stack and didn’t have that height. I do have a shelf over the single car garage door that has a higher ceiling

Good man! Have you seen the DIY builds for attic storage winch systems? Very handy if you can use it. 4711DE9C-1D81-41F0-81C4-083C34B699D7.jpg

Just played around in the backyard today. There's a small concrete ramp that leads to the door of the shed. About 2 feet long and only raises up about 6 inches. It was bordered with some termite eaten and rotted out 2x4. This yard also had some grapevines, which I took out the other day, that were bordered with some decorative brick.

    Like this:
    upload_2020-6-29_19-55-30.jpg

So I repurposed two of them and bordered the ramp with them. Quick fix, not looking for it to last forever, but it'll last longer than the wood that was there. And it was free.

Now another issue I have dug up, literally, is that under one of the old grapevines I removed is a bunch of buried bricks. I pulled some smaller bits like the one above out and a couple of regular full size bricks (4x2x8). I don't know what they were there for. They weren't stacked on each other, it just looks like they were there to fill space in a hole. Did the previous owner just bury rubble? Two other things I found in different spots were an old rib bone and some rusted solid needle nose pliers.

Now as much as I want to dig them all up, I don't want my backyard looking like a mortar range. Anyone else ever have a similar issue?

That’s cool. I have a ladder to the garage attic (over two spaces) but yea not planning to hike things up and down that.

We’ve got a lot of “flat roofs” out here with very little pitch, I had a Single carport that I wanted a door on, highest I could go was a 6’6” rough opening. Haha we don’t even park in there, it’s my tool/project area. I use the space above the header sort of like cubbies, but maybe I could squeeze something in on the tall end of the roof

    It’ll buff out. :D

The last 5 hrs I spent running drip line in the new hot-tub bed. Not really exciting. At all. LOL

On a positive note, I finally picked up a battery powered 4.5” Angle Grinder (Ryobi, which I’m not a huge fan of - I have a Bosch Kit) which came free when purchasing a double-battery/charger kit for $100.00.
Batteries were the bigger 4AH Lithium’s. I think the deal is only for a few days.
There are a handful of free “attachments” to choose from.

2X4AH batteries, charger, and 4.5” angle grinder? Yep, couldn’t pass up. Lol

Bosch guy too, FYI Lowes has free 4.0 battery and charger with bare tool purchase. Hell I just bought a band saw I didn't need, already had the angle grinder and viber saw.

I’m seriously laughing out loud on my back patio right now, thanks to that post LOL.

eta - 10pm PST, drip line is *finally* finished.
15 yards of dark hemlock mulch was delivered earlier today, and I’m thinking I might attempt to cover the new bed tonight. Midnight is my curfew :D

Finished the bed last night at 12:45pm - burnt 1760 calories yesterday! LOL
Did 4 more hours on the front bed tonight.

(the wider bench is put in where it is because I didn’t want the dog walking on the deck when it was muddy)
