It was cool this morning so it was not too bad, but now that it is drying, yes it’s a stinker. It’s supposed to be good for 10 years, well, the last time I did it was 3 years ago(same brand). With all the tree pollen and crap that falls on it, the rainy season has its toll on it also, it does not last, but it’s better than some stuff I’ve used.

Careful with those racks. My brother has a couple expensive road bikes and over time the weight (they are super light weight) slightly bent the rims.

Got new garage doors! I didn't install them, only placed some rafter cross beams for mounting the tracks. Bit of a facelift for the old man cave. Think they look pretty sweet!

I had the footing material being set for the 100x200 covered arena. All of the 6’ high galvanized fence rails have been installed. Should have the gates installed by next week after the top layer of the footing material is installed. 2FFA6075-BF35-41D8-81A8-92A4A8442F66.jpg
All 20x of the stalls fronts and Dutch doors are completed. All of the automatic water troughs and fly prevention system are operational. The stall mattresses should be finished by next week.

The center cupola has the 12’ fan installed and it works great! I had five 8’ fans installed on the rest of the barn. Took this photo last night as the sun was setting to see how the lighting looks at night.

I built this hay and bedding storage building for my clients. I had ridge vents, gable vents, lower vents and soffit ventilation to draw air through the whole structure. This way the hay will always have fresh air cycling through the structure.

Wife wanted a deck. Finally got of my ass and did it lol only thing I have left is the bottom boards to go along the bottom. Will finish this sat. And im probably going to relocate the outer two posts further out. I originally went with a ledger board/ 2 post plan and halfway through decided I wanted 4 post for piece of mind. Now I don't like where they are located lol oh well

Man that's nice. I used to be a horse vet, and yours is one of the nicest barns I've ever seen. And I've seen alot of barns in VA, FL, and KY. Looks incredible!

Thank you. Yea she has it pretty good on the building things front lol I used to be a home builder for 4.5 years when I was right out of high school so I learned alot. Its come in quite handy. Also built her an elevated planter box. My daughter came to me the other day and told me she thinks I have set the bar too high for her because if her future love interest isn't able to just "build her whatever she wants" she doesn't think it will work out Lmao love that kid

Might be making a few trips to bring these guys home. Every bed is going to be re-done with the help of my amazing landscape buddies awesome eye for design. Annnnnd it’s going to cost me. Thankfully only in materials. :fingerscrossed:

Yea i kind of used a basic design fot the structural part from some plans I found and then the deck boards railing and stairs I just improvised to what I liked. I didn't want the same old same old all wood deck. I think the metal gives it a nice contrast and modern look. Plus I have a secret.......the metal bars
....are painted 1/2 inch conduit lol super cheap compared to cable wire or other baluster options

I also got around to putting a laminate top with oak trim on my workbench. Very pleased with the results. I hope I never have to move the workbench. It would require a forklift to move the bastard. Very stable but heavy as hell!

Exactly how a work bench should be. Solid and immovable.

As for what I did today.... not much. But after being in this house for just over a month I’m noticing the little details I missed. Like this gaping hole in the floorboards behind the master bedroom door. B4926A86-381A-4E6A-BD94-0E5E5613271D.jpg

Fortunately the seller left a LOT of the floorboard material in the garage and the shed. So I grabbed a little piece, made a paper template of the hole and taped it to the board with the grain going the right way.

A little sanding later and it fit right in.

Just gotta get some wood putty to fill the gaps.
