Did you follow plans for this or are you already in the masonry line of work? My wife keeps nagging at me to build her a pizza oven outside.

You ever think about connecting the two decks? You could have the steps in the middle of where they join coming out perpendicular from the house.

Funny you should say that. That was our initial plans. I think when we go to put down new decking we're gonna connect. Great suggestion

how bad is it to move that propane tank? Would be nice to go full width with the connection, but probably wouldn't be too bad just to go with the steps width across.

    Oh thanks then!

It has taken a while to get there after a pool, patio, driveway, sidewalk and 5 trees removed really gave the yard a beating.
    But it’s filled in nicely.

No big deal, my buddy runs the gas company here and we can relocate, just might have to add line

I have a basic knowledge of masonry. A friend of mine on the other hand is a retired union mason. No official Plan just a few pics of different fireplaces that we put together. Check out the uuni pizza oven. I have one and it makes awesome pizza. Then you could build something to put it on.

I fixed our Dustin vacuum. Took it apart, pulled out 2 years of hair, lint, a lego head, finger nail, and a plastic thing that was obstructing it all. All fixed

Thanks! Almost done. I didn't do any of the pours, dad hired out for that part. We just did the labor of digging out the area for the company to set the forms and pour. We'll be back filling dirt to level the ground to cement a bit where the forms all sat. Then string fence and should be done. He's ready to have full use of the yard for the dogs again.

would you mind shearing style/type/ name of the epoxy, saw where you use several gallons in another post. I have know age of small epoxy projects with supplies from hobby shop but thinking of little larger project using an old dinning room table.

3-1 level kit with add a leaf. 295/70/18r cooper max. Spider head light tail light and third brake light, tint, badges off, ladder racks, trd pro grill, color matched hood bulge, grab handle, coach builder +2, dv8 front bumper with winch, fender flares, bed cover....
This was my first time so I didn’t know much. But I used pro marine. I read that that’s a good one for starters. Doesn’t harden too fast and Easy to work with. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The smaller the easier. Make sure your frame you make is level and tightly screwed and caulked in seams. I used tyvek tape from hone depot to wrap all exposed wood that I would do the pour on. Make sure you clamp the wood pieces down in multiple spots. Prep the wood very well and clean. Then your going to make a router sled to plane the top. Then belt sander. Then orbital sander. Many hours of sanding. When you mix the epoxy make sure you mix very well and evenly. Use map gas torch to get rid of bubbles IN the bucket before you pour. Then use torch once poured to get rid of bubbles for as long as possible. About 30-45 minutes you have then the epoxy starts to harden. Pour a little more than you need and sand off extra. Put lines of caulk along the border of the wood pieces so the whole thing doesn’t get covered. Also when mixing the hardener literally wouldn’t come out of the container so I cut them in half with razor and emptied them that way. Take your time.

I know the thread is "What Did You Do TODAY," but this just finally got finished today. 2.5 months of work. Chopped everything down and hauled it out myself, got my neighbors bobcat to pull stumps/roots and grade, and hauled all of that out myself too. My back hurts.

Top pics are before, bottom pics are after.

Thanks! Next is grass seed and planting a nice line of evergreens so that the privacy is there, but it doesn't look so overgrown and out of control. The dogs love being able to see the world, though!

Might extend my fence back another 15 feet once the grass takes, too. Lots of possibilities!
