What have you done to your NOT 3rd Gen Tundra today?

When its winter, when its 105 degrees, when its filthy and i have no time for washing a car etc. you apparently have a system you enjoy that works for you

 

Haha you make time, it’s always hot in the south, plus I have 3 kids under 3 and another on the way. All about priorities and what one wants to get done.

Guess it’s the mentality from retiring from the Marine Corps. People always make excuses about time yet they scroll tik tok, eating Cheetos, while bitching about being fat and not having the energy to work out.

butttt back to washing trucks. Ya only a foam cannon and hand wash for me. Couldn’t pay me to use an auto car wash.

Friday afternoon and Saturday was spent working on my inherited Nova. I did a rattle can detail of the engine compartment. Mind you, this is not a restoration. This car is a driver and a restoration may lower value, as that can hide problems. This car is solid front to back with just little surface rust here and there. I wanted to dress it up a little for the new drive train we are putting in her. I then sprayed the front under carriage to be more uniform in color. Saturday was quite challenging to get the motor and transmission stabbed in. Passenger side tie rod outer end had to come out along with the passenger side center drag link pinion mount to get the Moroso rear sump oil pan down into the hole and remount them into the channel cutout of the oil pan. Look up Chevy II oil pan and you can understand what I am talking about. The motor and transmission are in place and all bolted in. We need to get the exhaust manifolds cleaned and ceramic coated, fuel line bent into shape, radiator installed with the metal finger guard mount fabricated and some other odds and ends done before firing the motor back up again.
