It’s a Phoenix Android HU. Plug and play (adapter needed only for the GPS), completely opens up the factory JBL system as it lets you increase the gain, and allowed me to add a JBL 1,000 watt amp with (2) JBL subs I bought from JRT at tech12volts. Watch Netflix, Prime, Plex, play Atari, SNES, and MAME emulators, lots of stuff. Can’t wait for the new one with faster processor and later version of Android.

I originally went with a Ram mount for my iPad 3. To your point, a little too big, and since it’s really old, doesn’t run Waze well at all since the iPad doesn’t have GPS. Plus not compatible with Torque Pro. That’s why I went with 8” tablets; looks to be just the right size to where it won’t obstruct the view or vents. I’ll post pics whenever I get them mounted in a couple of weeks. Here’s what I did with the iPad and mount:

Check the build link in my signature.
If you got the factory tailgate lock kit, they are in the box. And the install is easy other than worming your way along under the truck to zip-tie the harness in place. The instructions are dead simple and easy to follow. I wouldn’t pay someone else to install it.

Fought with the truck trying to get the TPMS sensors to register and calibrate. So far truck 1, me 0. What a pain in the a$$!

Woah, thanks for the advice! The cheapest that I could get it was 1200 at my local shop. Didn't even think of shopping at Amazon.

I have the RG's in 285/70/18 and they were $330 per tire no matter where I looked to include Amazon.

The key is rotation as heavy as these trucks are. I didn't rotate as often as I should have. 2 were worn down and the other 2 are still half tread. I kept them for spares.

Mod #4 I was helping a buddy moving and stubbled upon some mini eBay light bars (some off brand) and offered them to me at no charge. So I decided to up my backup light game and will come in handy when camping. Much brighter than I anticipated!!!!

Me too. I couldn’t leave work early yesterday and I’m glad I didn’t..it made me wake up to freezing weather and wasting time on my phone. Amazon has a set of 4 for $1032 plus tax only. Nuts. Even if a tire shop charges a $100 to install it’s a win

How does that feel? Looks great but curious as I often rest my hand on the shifter. I like the little cash stash too

Funny you should ask, I did my first road test. My hand rests perfectly on it while my arm rests on the center console!!! I also do manual shifting while on city streets, and is awesome. Glad I took the gamble on it!!

Working on a wheel swap on the TRD Pro, old school 20" BBS alloys that I had on my 2007 XSP Tundra . Painted them from silver to gunmetal with base and satin clear. Set of Michelin ATX 275/60R20's on the way. I just can't love the factory wheels, so I will see what it looks like with the new wheels and tires and decide what to keep.

Really struggled with the dark charcoal vs black color for the 20 inch wheels. I can always unmount them and try them black, just lot of work sanding and re-painting. we shall see. 20210212_204329.jpg 20210213_161840.jpg 20210213_161846.jpg

Looks great what you did. I know it's not 100% direct match but I was able to add my custom badges to the rear contours to match the front. The slight shape change doesn't even trigger my OCD. I'm guessing you probably already know this but for those that don't it can end up pretty close. Just letting you know if you rather have the full coverage. For 2 boys and a dog, as good as your new setup looks, not having full coverage is not an option for me.

Dropped it off for its 5k oil and tire rotation. I think I might need new shoes within the next 5k miles. Wish I could get another set of Rockers but Pitbull told me they don't have in my size and don't know if they will? I've pulled a huge screw out these without puncturing, they're tough as nails, see what I did there. Decisions decisions. I need an aggressive tire with great traction in all conditions, I don't care about road noise.

They look great. I like black, and a combo of black with a few hints of chrome, but that color looks awesome.

Yeah, its a pretty good dealership. They have a custom shop separate from the main service/parts department, and they do a lot of custom stuff there. They have a good selection of wheels from SCS, Black Rhino, Method (its where I found the Ray 10s a few months ago), and sell/install suspension from Toytec, Icon, OME, etc. Great service and seemed pretty knowledgeable. Paid $450 for the labor, including alignment, which I think was pretty reasonable for a dealership.
Pretty happy with the job and the shop.

    Thanks!

That's the Nightfall option on the wife's soon to arrive 2021 Telluride.

    https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a33312892/2021-kia-telluride-nightfall-edition-revealed/

I noticed a Telluride on a motorcycle trip to CO last summer, and mentioned it to the wifie when I got back, which started her wheels turning. We went for a test drive a couple of weeks back, and found a dealer in Plano that would sell for MSRP, (trust me, the markup on these vehicles is annoying), so she struck a deal. Kia is making some good vehicles these days...
