WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

Today:
Replaced O.E. cabin filter with a K&N.

Put the K&N sticker on the door to the cabin filter.

A philosophical / existential question along the lines of "If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound?"
If a sticker is hidden and is seen by no one, do you still get the +10HP gain?

Finally got around to the first oil change on the new engine. This was about 2k miles / one month of driving, little bit of off-roading. Oil looked great coming out. Also was my first time cutting open an oil filter - very pleased to not find a ton of particulate, although these haven’t fully dried out yet.

 

Put my Baja Designs hitch pod back in.

 

Durobumps front bump stops. I hope these will prevent the 37’s from hitting the fenders/flares. My last Tundra was beat to shit from off roading.

 

Tuned the amps today, what a difference. This tool is worth every penny.

 

I bought my 3rd gen today.

 

put my front skid plate back on, finally, after getting the engine swap. It does touch the sway bar a tiny bit but it’ll self clearance (maybe). Only had to use spacers on the front end of the skid after dropping the sway bar about an inch or inch and a half. Other bolts lined up just fine.

Last Saturday I inquired at the parts & service department on having them install the TRD lift kit in my 2025 Tundra 1794 4WD.
Sexy gal hit me with a text later....thought it was an invite....wish I'd have seen it earlier and responded quickly.

She checked in with her people and got back with me on Monday with the actual price....keep in mind this was just for parts & labor for the TRD lift only. No wheels....no tires.

I forget which day it was....but I came home from a long workday and a Husky box was tucked inconspicuously on the front porch.
Delivery guy did well positioning it out of view.

I have today off. Will vacuum the truck and drop these in place.

Husky > Weathertech. I sent my WT's back after very poor fit. Love the Huskys and theyre holding up great.

 

I had great results with some tan WeatherTech's in a 2007 Frontier 4WD that I drove hard for 11 years.

My 2017 Tacoma SR5 had really good factory mats that were more comfortable (softer) than those prior WeatherTechs, though.

I wish Tuxmat had been in stock. Hell, I may grab a set of them when available and give these to a buddy who drives a Tundra.

 

I had good look with WT liners before as well...the ones I got and some other people got around the same time, were horrible. Might have been a bad first batch, but it was enough for me to say no thx.

 

The WTs in my 2012 were great. I like that the Huskys in my '25 are a little more pliable and have excellent coverage. Not to mention, cheaper.

 

Nice and those are quality ...did you grab the rears as well ?

 

I just got the front, never had an issue with the rear. I may get them in the future just so they’re matching haha.

 

Thinking about adding one of these....

Anyone tried something along these lines they'd recommend ?

they just made them brighter recently, I have one coming. I think they are pretty cool..

 

The coverage comparison is remarkable. And you gotta love that softer feel from the X-Act Contour material- makes getting the mats in and out a bit easier for a quick clean up. Thank you for sharing these images! I hope you're enjoying your new Husky floor liners!

 

I have this one on my 2024 Platinum. I like it. Had not tried others so nothing to compare to.

I just popped a chubby when I read up on this dash mount system for driver and / or passenger phone holders, radar detector mounts, etc.

 

I now have one coming, too.

 

Got one about a month or so ago, quality built.

Went with the magcharger, much better than truck wireless charger.

 

Picked up a used UWS toolbox for $80. New gas shocks, primer, bed liner and paint to make it my own.
