yeah...only reason I passed on those was due to color. Seller is local to me, cant buy directly from AFE in Cali either. Cant do red though...lol. I dont live my life a 1/4 mile at a time.

I’ve had my current oiled AFE intakes and inlet pipes from my previous 22 Tundra since November of 2022. I never had issues with it and bought an extra 2 oiled filters. I clean and rotate them once a year. I never had any oil on my MAFs or sand/debris (I live in Vegas) passed the filters in the intake tubes.

I can see if someone over oils them. That’d be a huge problem.

Why do all the blanks have wiring going to the back of them in the panel??!?

Looks like a board from the LC2i. It was too wide for any of mine. If you have a blank where I have my TRD Light bar button, it should fit there.

They are live wires for the buttons that go there for other trims. When I installed my ditch light button, I tapped into the beige wire from the connector I pulled out to get illumination.

It looks like it will fit here. YT vids say to push it from the back to pop it out the front. I pushed pretty hard and wouldnt trust doing it any harder. IMG_8410.jpg

I installed mine to the right of that. That button pushes in. The retaining teeth are at the top and bottom. The videos you are watching are for the other ones where the teeth are on the left and right and push out.

DM me if you got any more questions. Sorry for flooding the thread!

I had the AFE pipes but ended up selling them...never got around to it. Only K&N claim any hp gain...everyone else just says it can flow more...makes me think K&N just went with the random dyno run that showed some gain in hp and called it good.

Charge pipes i think at this flow level are a waste of money.

Unless you are upgrading past stock turbos, you wont see an recognizable improvement.

I bet you the major restriction in this system is the Air to Water intercooler brick. Upgrade that, and you reap the benefits of a more efficient core (heat transfer) and airflow through the unit.

I’m not for the peak numbers any way. I want gains I can feel in the low and mid range because I never floor the gas pedal and rev her out. I want that immediate and available power.

Flow will increase efficiency and response. Hopefully making the twins spool even faster/earlier.

Increase in flow was evident when I did the turbo outlets. I think I gained more from those outlets than the intake itself.

The S&B intake you installed already has them incorporated with their system. I wonder if they are as big (inner diameter) as AFE’s are.

After I installed these, I was a believer in better flow. I felt the difference in my previous non-hybrid. Installing them in my hybrid, the gains were even more noticeable (probably because of the electric motor assisting).

My hangup with the S&B is the MAF sensor is scaled to a specific cross-section diameter of the OEM tube. Change that and it alters the measurements that it takes.

If Banks ever comes out with an intake for these trucks, that's what I will go with.

I thought it was a different diameter but I looked at the insert and it chokes it down a lot. It would throw codes or fuel trims would be out of whack if the lbs/min were way off. Fuel trims this morning (First drive with intakes) was spot on though.

im close to pulling the trigger on a magnuson upgrade but I just wish there were more people out there, or vocal enough, to give more reviews. Not sure if their radiator is needed/worth it either at this point

Not tellin' you gents what to do or nothin'...not my place. So take as a suggestion.
BUT.... a dedicated thread with input from you 3 outlining/showing the various pros/cons/differences between S&B, AFE, other intakes?, would likely be appreciated by more than just myself.
(Who only want to make this purchase once.) :D
    Just putting it out there.

I've been on these guys a while to give some updates on gains along with their tuning. Should be announced soon. I'm also planning on this upgrade pending the results.
