I don’t have the bed lights on my 24 Limited, but would like to add some. Is there a way to tap into the rear cab lights so you can control them when doors open or when using the switch for rear cab lights?

    How’s the ride?
    I assume the 2.5” front 1” rear
    Any more side profile photos?

couldn’t get the dyno calibrated right unfortunately. Dyno was a dynocom and couldn’t match the gears up properly. 7th gear is the 1:1 but hit the speed limiter at like 4k rpms so couldn’t even see max. Tried other gears and just couldn’t get it calibrated right. Tried, but no joy.

If you scroll up to posts #62 and #69 he mentions some issues tapping into the rear cab light.

Yes, I tried this but there wasn't enough current to power both the center back light as well as my bed lights. I never measured what my bed lights would pull for current. They would light up with that method I used tapping into the center back light, but wasn't bright enough at all.

I also tried poking around with a multimeter at the harnesses around the tailgate area but didn't find any vacant, hot leads or any others that were switched with the tailgate opening unfortunately. I ended up going straight to the battery like most others have done.

If I had to guess some of those lights on the rear of the truck are probably operated like the headlights in that a lot of those thin little wires might be canbus and that's why they're not providing enough current to power bed lights that probably don't pull but 1 amp combined.

I identified what I was pretty sure to be the 12-volt hot going to the light on the tailgate handle. If you get under your truck and look at the wiring harness right at your bumper, you can see which bundle of cables goes through the tailgate harness. There's a bracket on driver's left that holds three bundles of cables in connectors. The connector that is closest to the center of the truck that you see me holding in. My fingers in the attached photo is the connector that services the tailgate handle. I did find a wiring diagram that confirmed this. I was going to have to take a guess on which wire was hot and which wire was ground. But at the end of the day I just didn't like my options and splicing into those thin little wires. Especially in that location on the truck where it's going to catch a lot of mud and water. So I ended up just coming right off the battery and running 16 gauge wire along the frame and up through the tail light.

I just ran from battery as well, right to a push-button switch just inside the bed. I'll have to push a button, but no big deal, it turned out well.

    Had to ask.

Too many people just run it that way. There are too few of us who actually do it the right way.

That’s a nice difference for sure. I’d be curious as to the mpg difference. They’re about 27lbs heavier than the stock tires.

Can't leave us hanging like this man! How's the ride quality now? How nose high did the 2.5"/1" make it? I believe you may be the first on the site to lift a TRD Pro with the Eibach springs. Fill us in brother!

IMG_1901.jpg Thanks for replying on bed lights, I added lights to my 2017 Tacoma by T-tapping into the door/ dome light ( drivers side kick panel). That worked great, think they were Raxiom from
Extreme Terrain. I’ll probably just go off the battery this time.

This was right after install. The front has gone down 1/2" since and sits more leveled now.

Ride quality was not great at first. Its closer to stock ride again after alignment. It's sitting 1/2" lower after a week.

Before I was getting 16.5-17 to and from work. From what I'm seeing so far now, on my normal commute to work I'll probably be at 14.5-15mpg... maybe 16 if I baby it. If I ran this for errands, short trips, it would probably be 12.5-13mpg.
