exactly, I have it too and its my go to for most everything. Extremely strong for its size

 

just curious but why couldn’t a dude just get up there with a socket a cordless impact gun, drop the bolts and have the shield down in like 15 seconds?

 

Thanks for this post. I was planning on direct swapping my Method 305s with 35” BFG K02s from my Taco. I’m assuming that frame extension only needs to get chopped if we go up to 37s?

 

I think the frame extension is removable (via a couple of bolts).

In one of Westcott’s videos where he handed over the pro to the gentleman he was buildit up for (and test fitting parts) he mentioned that he did chop it a bit…probably to retain some semblance of crash protection but everything I have read seems to indicate it’s easily removable.

 

They can in most cases…these cat shields are meant to be a deterrent and the hope is most of them aren’t showing up with more than a cutting device and a spotter so when they see the shield “we hope” they just move on to the next truck.

If they want it bad enough (or start to get smarter) then God help us all…but most of them will hopefully move on to an easier/faster target.

 

I miss my tacoma bed cover like this. Where did you get this one? I hate my OEM one.

 

super easy to remove the bolts and good to go

meth heads are pretty dumb and don’t put in the extra work thankfully

 

this is the eBay tri-fold one for $330. I also added the e-trailer clamp fittings for $20 for a better fit, but the clamps that came with it would work.

Finally got the Westcott lift and 295/65s on my stock wheels.

Looks great! How is the ride quality? I am still debating if I just do front level, or the 3/1 Westcott lift. Currently have the 35" Toyo's on there and haven't noticed much of a change in ride quality.

 

Honestly, I’d say it rides smoother than before. I’m not sure if that’s the extra rubber or what. I did notice a little bit of extra hop on the back-end over some high speed bumps on the freeway when the bed was empty.

That seems like conflicting statements, but it’s my subjective feedback after about 48 hours.

 

Put on my 295/60/20’s today and limited wheels on my SR5 and TRD exhaust.

 

Added a 1” Cornfed spacer to the rear w/ the 2.25” IVD spacer up front. Happy with the ride.

What bags are you looking at? I’m looking also and just interested what other people are checking out.

I ditched a little bit of “chrome” last night. OEM painted parts for the win.

 

1.25" spacers. I love the look of the 20" black sr5 premium sport wheels and this just gives them that subtle poke

Took a visit to the plastic surgeon

 

Well I knew what I was getting in buying it as we have done a few at the dealership. I got it because of the looks to complete the TRD package I am doing. I have custom TRd center caps being done by the body shop to go into the wheels and then the trd offroad shift knob.
But I love the way it looks the sound the best way I can give a real feedback is 10% difference in sound. But looks is 100% better
