Deleted all the exterior chrome/silver, added a bed step, added predator steps and replaced the factory grille with the TRD Pro grille (just need to paint the mustache red to match the body).
Also, hooked up a Carlinkit box in, so the kids can stream shows/movies on that 14" screen. Big win for longer trips/ipads die.

Next on the radar is the Sherpa Grizzly roof rack with light bar and either a bed rack or cab (for eventual rod vaults) and probably swap out the fender flares for the TRD ones since they're darker.

Oh, and got a brand new engine due to the recall (with five years of free Remote Connect for the hassle)! Least expensive "zero mile" vehicle I've ever purchased! ;)

I picked her up today. She finally got a name. Got the drop steps, the bed cover and the odb2 port lock. High theft around these parts. She also got the TAG system installed.
It was a very expensive day, but it was worth it.

yes! Norweld Tray installed in June of 2023. This was the second 3rd gen to have the conversion done. I ran a flatbed four wheel camper on it from 2023 o to about a week ago when I sold the camper. Looking to order a Norweld Canopy next and start building out the flatbed again. In the meantime, ARB compressor in one of the bed boxes, switch pro, and fabbing up a new higher clearance tow bar are in the cards.

I’m getting a canopy tomorrow so I installed helicopter tape where the bed rail plastic meets the bed side. Hopefully this keeps it from rubbing through and rusting like it did on my 2008.

Did you cut any of the plastic pieces off to help with the wavy bed caps?

nope, I will never see them again. Just don’t want it to be rusty if I sell the canopy separate when I eventually sell the truck. I also didn’t notice them being wavy. But it would be easy to cut some off.

I've never heard of helicopter tape before. It is a rather alarming set of words to use in a sentence, at least at first blush.

Haha it at least used to be used on the leading edge of helicopter blades. People use it for things like mountain bikes and standup paddle boards now. I got the idea from a forum somewhere.

Anyone know for certain the lugnut socket size?

My 2012 was 22mm, but this truck seems to be 21mm?

Did another 8qt trans fluid dump and pump. I did 12qts like 300 miles ago. Will do the last 4 when I dump this new engine oil. It's so easy now with the external filter. I disconnect it, turn on the truck and pump 4qts out, add 4 and turn it back on to let the fluid circulate. Rinse and repeat. No mess at all

I really like the heritage colors and I'm seriously thinking about adding that sticker and the same colors on my front grill. I'm just not sure about where to put it and where I can get some for the 1794 Limited Edition (Platinum grill) front grill.
