Continuing with the chrome delete. I installed the ChromeStoppers gloss black window trim.

Next up will be color matched fenders.

It doesn’t look bad IMO. I’ll have to see how it looks in person.

I had a +30 method wheel on with same tire size and now these trd pro wheels and the only place it rubbed was on the mud flap at the back of the wheel on both options. Trimmed a bit and is fine now. I did order and will install the trd lift in the next couple months when I get some time and will see what happens.

Looks good on this picture. In real life it does look a bit different, but you always can install trd pro fender flares if painted flares will not work out :)

New 285/60r20 BFG KO3 tires fitted this morning. Early driving impressions are very positive and they look fantastic.

That's the same tire size I'm looking at. Are you lifted or leveled? Spacers?

What made you go with the gloss black over the matte black? I am ordering them today but trying to decide between the two. I have installed the matte black door handles and matte black emblem covers.

yes, had some left over, probably a quarter of it, I did 3 coats, first coat was lite, then a little thicker each coat, worst part was waiting the 2 hrs after last coat.
You have to wait 15 min in between coats, but by the time you get the last one done, you can start next coat.

Added Recon Grapplers ( 295/70/R18 ) on 18” Rhino Rims all around. Removed front chassis bracket & trimmed the felt just a bit, no rubbing. Also, had to adapt the TRD center caps to the Rhino rims. That worked out nicely after a lil fab work.

Nice work. Would you do it again? Read where this was a pita and not worth time. Was just thinking of doing this with wife’s Telluride calipers.

It’s a little more firm, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing because it feels like there is less body roll in turns.

Yes, it wasn't bad, just take your time, can be time consuming, depending on what and where you tape off. Just clean it well before hand, the kit comes with brake cleaner.

I just wanted it to match the finish to the door decals. I don’t have anything else matte on the truck. I might also swap out the door handles for red.

Iron Truss Fabrications makes a black out part for the chrome around the windows, it comes in matt black as well.

I just got an UpTop Overland new Kilo Roof Rack. I’m ready to install, but I have to drill into the drip rail. I have looked for diagrams and cannot seemed to get clear picture of how they set along the roof edge. What are the chances of getting into the side curtain airbags if the drill bit goes to deep?

This might help. Maybe you should drop the headliner along the outer edges just to be on the safe side.

Was thinking that way, but If I’m going to the trouble of dropping the headliner, I’m going to change the way it mounts. I was thinking about switching from pop rivets to rev nuts and bolt it instead. I think it would be a way sturdier install. I just need to be able to see what I’m drilling into.

Rev nuts are a pretty good idea, easier to remove if you want too and no drilling out rivets. Just be careful on the type used and grip range so it does not wind up spinning. Riv nuts will also not sit flush on the top side unless you countersink. I doubt the roof material is thick enough for countersinking.

I like Solar Octane. I even kinda like the bright red interior. Just, not the two together.
But, if @Coachcleats90 and other Tundra owner both got the interior and look they wanted, good on 'em!
