Never thought I would have a red truck, but I don’t see many in my area. Next steps would be to color match the grille surround, rear bumper, and fender flares.

How are those recovery hooks going to work when the recovery vehicle is not perfectly level with your vehicle? In most cases you'll be in the ditch and the recovery vehicle will be at a higher elevation on the roadbed. Will the tow rope/chain not severely damage the air dam and factory bumper during the pull?

Put Rek Gens on the driver side and am not really liking the look. Sure they are more about protection, but I am all about keeping a particularly clean look. May just forego the install, I do have PPF installed on the rocker panels, lower door skins, lower bedside front and rear sections, and all flares.

That certainly has crossed my mind. Their utility will depend on the situation. But I would rather have them than not, I suppose.

They fit perfect, just not sure about the look. May put them on and run them, might become a mute concern

    IMG_2109.jpg IMG_2104.jpg IMG_2106.jpg Updated my spacers on my skid plate IMG_2110.jpg IMG_2111.jpg

Spacer set was purchased to fit the 3in Toyota lift kit and its bigger size block sway bar drop kit
    Those sizes are
    Spacer — 1 1/2” tall — 3/4” OD 5/16” OD
    60mm bolt

I have a regular drop kit not the big block that is used for the Toyota kit. So my spacer size is allot lower and I probably will go even lower to maybe a 1inch spacer to pull it up closer to the frame. But for now I’m happy. Sorry for the late info I had forgot how I originally ordered compared to what I installed, figure I could help everyone with both kits now seeing that I needed a smaller spacer

So I assume you have to remove the skid plate to change the oil, that alone would keep me from putting one of those on. It does look good though.

It was honestly my first thought but if you get this from factory it’s the same thing Toyota has to take it on and off for service. Only difference is I have a spacer in between. Personally I just like the look so I don’t mind the extra work.

I realized today after toying around with the sound that either the engineers absolutely brain farted on the JBL subwoofer and the frequencies going to it, or it is complete ass regardless. How do the front door speakers provide more bass than anything else. It sure does make balancing the entire system out much more complicated.

My 13 year old Acura sounds better. The JBL system is meh for the price we pay for it.

and yes. The woofer is a joke.

What I did was set the bass high and then adjust the tone to be towards the rear. Less bass in the door and more focused behind me were the woofer actually is.

JBL makes some good stuff but they fell short with the system that's in the Tundra. I bought an Acura Integra to travel back/forth to work. It has an ELS studio sound system that will knock the doors off of the JBL system. The car was 36k and they managed to put in an awesome audio system compared to my 72k Tundra!![/QUOTE]

Got the windshield tinted with SolarFX FX Plus 65% ceramic. It has a slightly blue hue on the roll but it turned out fine.

Good thing you didn’t hear the JBL Premium Audio in the 2.5 gens…. I could turn the volume all the way up, roll the windows down, and still have a conversation.

My Silverado had a pretty damn good system in it. Was a Bose and I added some Rockford Fosgate gear to it

Yup. I have the Talon and the first time I changed the oil after installing the skid, I thought it would just drip down the hole cut-out… I was wrong. So wrong.

Looks beautiful. Food for thought you may have had an easier time with some heat applied and using some flouro fishing line makes them come pretty much all the way off with minor residue left on paint. Even could use a hair dryer. Just a little bit of heat goes a long way
