Im going to squat my truck this weekend. Raise the front as high as possible, lower the rear as much as I can, and then toss in about 20 bags of cement. Should increase rear traction and lower my IQ by about 40 pts. Lol

Thanks, I was looking at those running boards on Amazon due to the great price. How are they? Seem like decent quality?

Yours is a CrewMax right? Was the length correct?

You know for this to truly work you're going to need to swap out those 22" Vossens for at least a set of 24 or 26X12's with a massive negative offset and 6" minimum of poke, right?

Just to extra make sure I was never one of the old cranky guys pounding my keyboard complaining about recovery hooks, I installed two from AFE today. Maybe $150 and an hour of crawling around.

Full turn barely kissed the liner carpet. Folded and creased with my hand, 10 second fix no rubbing. I didn't flex but looks to have plenty of clearance everywhere.

As I was installing the recovery hooks, I probably should have used some kind of Loc-Tite? In retrospect it’s bothering me that I did not. Might disassemble and install next weekend if anyone thinks it wise. Or tell me I’m crazy and it’s fine.

Test drove a '23 Plat with 13k on the clock. Really like the truck and the deal is good, but can't really justify to the wife spending $20k from my paid off '18 Plat on the benefit.

Well then. You should probably buy a ‘24 or ‘25 and spend $35k.

But honey, it’s new. The old is almost 7 years old and fully depreciated. The accountant said so.’

    You are welcome!

Oh, back on topic. I did first oil change at 3750 miles. Then washed her.

    Just some small stuff.

APS running boards from Amazon. $209. 6 inches wide. Basic, but solidly built aluminum.

Gator SRX soft roll up tonneau from Realtruck. $239. Got here in two days from click to order to arrival. Low profile, easy install. Not sure about how water resistant it is. It looks good and will keep my bed from getting filled with leaves and snow and other things.

No name mud flaps from Amazon. $25. They sit pretty low. Combined with running boards, sides of truck won't be caked with dirt mud snow as much.

Meso customs rear light. Huge improvement over stock. Stock unit has 4 LED's. This one has 40. Iphone photo overplays it a tiny bit, but not much. This thing is bright. I have the map light units, but haven't put them in yet.

Also got this trim piece. Covers up that nasty piano black crap. It looks like it came from the factory. Really good match.
