How is that leveling kit working out for you so far? I have the same wheels as you (actually I think you pointed me to them). They look fantastic (especially for $400). I'm itching to level the front, but a little apprehensive since the shock bolts have to be ground down/cut...

No mine are not sticky from Toughskinz. They feel like dense foam and do not grab dirt and dust.

Had the chrome delete done yesterday at SCS in Bozeman. Great to work with and can’t believe the difference. Lift and tires next week!

For those of you who have the front license plate thing, do they drill holes to mount that? I would be pissed if they attached that and it wasn't needed.

Our state recently did away with the front tag (Ohio), so I specifically asked the sales guy to find out if they stopped adding the mount, because I don't want that it. He assured me that they only do them now if the customer requests it at time of delivery... Can't stand the way it ruins the front end...

Yea, unfortunately it's drilled into the bumper on mine. No big deal as we have to use a front license plate in Montana, but annoying for states that don't.

Just got my Westcott preload lift installed, new wheels/tires and alignment! Truck is a Limited TRD OR, have blacked out all the chrome minus the mustache. Wheels are Method 316s (18x9, +18 Offset) and tires are GY Duratracs (285/75R18). I went ahead and installed a full size spare and it fits if anyone's wondering.

Chose this setup for weight, wheels are only 27.9 lbs and the Duratracs are about 62 lbs which is on the light to moderate end of the spectrum for the size - goal was to be 90 lbs or below, so I'm right there. Other goal was to find a larger 285/75r18 (these are 35.1") and avoid a true 35x12.5 to reduce poke and (maybe) have some better performance in the snow.

Almost no noise added, and call me crazy but I think the handling has improved over stock. Love it. Now I need to install the RB20 steps. I'll try and get some more pics once I do that.

If anyone's interested in the takeoffs, they are the 20" black TRDs with Wildpeaks, let me know. Only 270 miles on them and I'm in CO (Denver area). I will probably do a separate post for those too.

Wouldn't that be nice! I see you bought at Ressler ... they're great over there. I originally ordered through them, but the truck was taking forever so I ended up running over to Oregon for mine.

Pretty easy job on the tails? I’ve heard that air release variety is easy to work with…

I used to work for a tint shop and have applied tons of vinyl in my life. I COULD NOT for the life of me get the tails to come out right. I ended up paying a shop $200 to do it.

The problem is that the lights curve up on top as well as make a 90 degree turn along the sides of the lenses. It requires a relief cut and has to be seamed so it's a bit above my pay grade.

There is a small gap in the seam (1-2mm) that can be seen from up close if you're paying attention and a small bubble where the injection molding point is. Not terrible, but not perfect either. The film also has a bit of "snakeskin" effect to it from the air release pattern

If I had to do it again I would stick with VHT Nightshades, which is what I usually do. I wanted to give the film a shot this time around in case I didn't like it and couldn't get it off or get replacement lights with all the parts back orders.

Right on. Thanks for the pics and info... I'm planning to try my hand at wrapping for the first time on my handles, bumper and grill pieces once my truck arrives... Figured $80 for the vinyl is worth the gamble to potentially save hundreds... Time will tell...

10/10 would not recommend trying the tails then. The mustache will most likely require 3 pieces. The rest I think can be done in one piece each

you're talking 1 piece for the stache, and 1 each for the bottom stache/mid bumper pieces? or 3 parts for just the top stache?

Not a fan of stickers... so these hit the road today.
I just cold peeled them and they both came off pretty easy with a little patience. Cleaned then waxed and they were never there.

    Badges are next.

Repeat of post in toppers thread, but installed a 2014-2018 Chevy/GMC 6.5 topper and it fits pretty dang well. Has some over hang as you can see in the mirror, but really happy with it overall. Perfect until I can order something more utilitarian next year. We are visiting Denver this weekend and Chris over at Suburban Toppers was unbelievable to work with. Super helpful and went extra mile to fit as good as possible.

    Lift goes on next week!!

im very happy with them. Smoothed out the ride after adding the e rated tires. Really negated the harshness of the 10ply tires over all the chip seal and absolute garbage roads we have here. Haven’t taken them on any real deal off-roading though, only LI beach trails.

I know pro comp isn’t as highly regarded as the other bougie brands, but seemed just as quality as the fox setup I had on my f150 in my hands. I guess time will tell in that regard.

That’s awesome. I was a little concerned about not seeing many reviews here, but I haven’t seen any negative ones. I don’t have a 3rd gen, but I found some very inexpensive brand new pro comp coilovers for my 2.5 gen. Thanks for the reply!
