WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

I bought mine used with the trd 3” lift, i installed katzkin seat covers, bed step, talon skid plates, rough country cat cover, track bar alignment block, and airbags. Previous owner put in a rave trd grill kit with lights but they weren't wired up. I removed the light bar as it was full of water and wired the marker lights to an acc fuse. Will eventually get another light bar.

 

I took advantage of the Memorial Day sales and just purchased the 3" TRD lift. Guess now I need to shop for wheels and tires. Anyone in the California Bay Area have a dealer recommendation to install the lift?

Bummer, just got a call that Toyota has stopped sales of the TRD 3” lift kit. Waiting for the service department to return my call to hear the details.

Because there is an issue with one of the installation tools required for the kit.

Yep, the dealer told me it was an issue with a part not fitting one application, but sounds like more or less the same thing. Toyota found there was some issue and has put a hold on all sales until they resolve the issue. I told them to keep my order in the queue, if possible, so that I can take advantage of the Memorial Day pricing once the kits are released to sell again.

 

Looks like a nice fit. How is it on the highway? Any added wind noise? How long does it take to inflate/deflate?

 

Installed the tailgate button on my SR5

 

I haven’t been on a long trip with it yet, but I was able to drive around with it today and you cannot hear it or see it move at all. I was shocked how strong it is, I can stand on it and even jump up and down and it supports my weight with no issues at all. I didn’t get the powered pump, I just have the included manual pump and it just took maybe 5-6 minutes to pump it up, it was very fast.

Sounds impressive. I’ll have to look into it a bit more. I’m not a fan of a full time topper but I’d like to have one from time to time and don’t have much room to store it when it’s off

 

Looks really good. Did you do a panel prep or IPA wipe between the polish and the ceramic coating?

 

Just got additional info from the dealer

From what the dealer told me it was put into effect a few weeks ago. I also received some additional information, they stated that a dealer was unable to compress the springs so Toyota is looking into this issue. Toyota did allow the dealer to put my order through, but it will remain on hold until the issue is resolved.

 

I heard it was May 14th effective date.

 

Did the same to mine just a minute ago.
Took about 15 minutes, 3 of those just figuring out how the connector under the truck unlatches.
Nice $100 feature to have.
The $14.61 shipped adapter harness from Ali express looks good and works great.

the guy that makes/sells them on fb/ebay said its do-able but the passenger side light is missing one of 3 screw provisions but it doesnt need it.

Just got mine yesterday and love it.

 

Pro fender. Rears are wired, need to do the front ones on my next days off. Wired to a flat 4 harness so they operate as oem, and don’t need to tap any factory wiring.

I bought these D-Rings too. But when I went to install them I found the large flat washer was captive to the bolt. Looking at your install, it looks like yours were not captive? Or did you also buy new bolts & washers?

Looks good! Also looks like my driveway, wife has a 2022 trd off road 4runner (white though) and I have a 2024 tundra (smoked mesquite). Colors are different but same idea! Love the 4runner but hopping out of the tundra and going into the 4runner is like a huge step back in time.

 

275/60/20 Cooper Discoverer's over the weekend. Didnt want anything heavier or much wider than stock. They ride great and were only like $180 each. Pops had really good experiences with them so I figured I'd give them a try.
