Mine was pretty quick. Shipped same day. But that was a while ago now.

 

Just did it because my bak cover leaked like hell. Put a new rubber sealer across the back and then used RTV to fill the gaps.

 

RCI sliders were delivered yesterday, now I just have to find the time to put them on.

 

Im not sure how the 2nd Gen Tundras sounded like but to me carven has the right note to make this 3rd Gen sound like a truck. I like how it's not to aggressive as your cruising but when it's started or you give it some gas it lets you know you have a beast that knows how to growl at you.

 

when you ordered this part number, did it come with all necessary parts for install? Like the mounting bracket etc?

 

After 10+ years of wheeling and going on family adventures in our 1997 LX450, we decided to build a new tundra for our family adventures and use the Land Cruiser for playing in the rocks again. Just got our FWC Project M camper, a set of Method 705s and Toyo RT Trails installed Friday and couldn't be happier. The wife and kids love the new house on wheels and the space the Tundra gives us now on our adventures.

 

Added AMP XL powersteps. These guys exceeded my expectations. Very smooth, very quiet, and tough construction.

 

Changed break in oil at 874 miles and installed Undercover Swing Cases.

 

A little TLC - Changed Oil and Filter at 5K (did the first at 1500), added Rago Bed Stiffeners, Opt7 Under Tailgate lights (Paralux 3 row LED) and interior cleaning. Exterior cleaning coming soon to be followed with installation of a Derale 13402 Transmission cooler. Ready for camping and tow season!

Rear brakes @ 27k miles. Truck would shake so bad before the swap...nice and smooth now. I did deactivate the auto parking brake option, just I'm case that's causing issues.

 

Not today, but Saturday. Got the front, rear, and back windows tented with ceramic tint. 15% on the back and 50% on the front (which is the legal darkness for VA without a doctors note and an authorization from the DMV) Will post pictures later, have been busy with a bunch of other things.

Are the TRD off road rear shocks longer than the non off road? I know there is no lift or height difference in the back on the TRD OR vs the regular, but was curious if those Bilstein shocks were longer or allowed for more travel.

 

Dealer Oil Change at 1001 miles. Not covered under Toyota Care.

 

The ride looks good, I was going to buy a Fabtech 1.5" leveling kit but I am also interested in the M1 Leveling Struts. Your truck looks like it sits level, have you measured?

Indeed, just had OC done at a little over 4k miles while in for the 5k service. Worth the money imo.

 

You could argue it and get it done and noted but dealer likes to keep as worded in agreement. Next OC at 10k will be free. (they did keep the 5k oc under 70.00 so not bad considering time and costs of oil & filter)
