Thanks for the info and link, may go with those down the road after the OEM's are needing to be replaced. As of now I ordered the simple 1.75" leveling kit from RC to accommodate the 295 65 20's I plan to put on the stock wheels

Looks great! Where did you get the BAKFlip MX4? That's next on my list after I get the truck ceramic coated. I have the 6.5' bed though so I'm expecting to pay a little more.

These are Westin Outlaw steps. Perfect drop for 6” lift! Didn’t break the bank, either!

I didn’t get strip on windshield because I’m planning on tinting whole front window with 50%. I do not have the dash cam.

Thanks! We have Line-X shop around and I originally called them last week because I was looking for Go Rhino running boards in stock that I could see (I could not decide between RB20, RB30 Slim). As soon as I arrived I realized that it was the same shop a friend was telling me I should visit to get the bed cover. They also had Rough Country suspension components on the wall and they said they'd charge me $120/hr. for a 2 hour install so I had them order the BAKFlip and had both installed the next day.

Nice, is that a black Letter Pack on the tailgate? I got a silver one. I am going to change the chrome handle and bumper inserts to black and make the "TUNDRA" pop :)

Mine took a few months from Sparks. One thing to avoid is bundling the grille with any other part that isn't in stock.

If I had ordered my flares separately, I would have gotten my grille a lot quicker.

Keep in mind that the grille comes in a very large box so shipping options are pricy and limited.

    That's a beautiful looking truck!

Right now I have a DiamondBack HD cover but I want to get an iKamper, so getting a smart cap seems like the way to go, that way I can access everything easier. Also, great job adding the racks on top and having them lined up nicely.

Does the window inside the smart cap open completely like the one on the back of the tundra?

I just downloaded your trucks picture to keep as a guide, I hope you don't mind (or sue me).

W/ the new height...I need help getting my tent back up on top but it will have a tuffstuff alpine back on it eventually. The opening portion of the window on the smart cap is smaller than the rear window opening. I could see this being a deal breaker for som but for me it wasn't. I can take a photo for you if you want. The alignment of the racks was dumb luck. I haven't checked to see if it is perfect but it is pretty darn close.

Not a very exciting mod day but a good ab workout I guess. I rolled around under the truck and sprayed everything with CRC. Also saw a few enticing holes and crevices for the FF. I am tired, but glad it’s done. Wish I’d had done it to the Sequoia when it was new. It does help.

It’s worth it. Colorado is drier than the north east coast here, and if I don’t rust proof mine it’ll have rust after a year or 2. I bought the spray gun and wands, makes life easier for sure. Subsequent years are easy as I just touch things up.

Oh yeah and I filled up for the first time. Costco has two choices, and no 87. I guess I will do premium, I mean, it’s a third gen. :cookiemonster:

Gas prices are over double that up here, not factoring exchange rate but still. Canada has the worlds 3rd largest oil reserves.

The other thing I did today was just stare at a computer screen and contemplated whether I really need skid plates.

on the one hand, it’s just a piece of felt under there now.

On the other hand, everything is tucked up higher, and I don’t know if it’s worth the added weight. I am trying to keep my weight down because of towing.

if I do it, I was leaning towards raw aluminum RCI, the two piece, which is 48 lbs total.

and for the back I was leaning towards the TTunes aluminum plate which covers the cats. It is 18 lbs. so 66 lbs total. I’m not sure if it’s worth it. It would be just to avoid damage from highway debris or maybe deer going under.

There appears to be no half way option with just a little protection. 1/4” aluminum boulder slamming is the only thing I can find for the front. The TTtunes is 3/16.

    :annoyed:

Had local dealer turn off fake engine noise and all five seatbelt chimes. Didn't even buy from them and they did it for free while I waited.

That’s amazing. The only free thing the local dealership has here is really bad coffee. They’ve refused to do anything like this for free over the past 15 years. Part of living in a college town I guess. They just don’t care because people keep coming in.

That's a good little ding you got there!

Are those the TRD aluminum ones from Toyota? Or did you install some sliders once you got your truck?

i bought the springs from Toytec separately, then asked the service tech to install them instead of the spacer that comes w the kit. i read a few posts about rear droop w the stock springs + spacer and this was my idea to avoid that when loaded w tools & supplies.

Yes please, take the picture. I'm sure more people have the same doubt. It would be nice to be able to open it completely but I don't see how it could be done without obstructing the storage capacity.
