Here's a pic of my front OEM mud flap and step after driving down a street that's being repaved.

Ha! Yea, it’s a method by which you wet the area of the truck, your fingers and also the decal with a soap solution which allows you to place the decal and move it around easily so you get perfect alignment. Once properly placed you then carefully squeegee the water off and the decal sticks.

Installed the engine skid from RCI. Feeling like the Fumoto is safely tucked away now.

Look how pathetic the stock TRD Off Road plate looks in comparison.

Still waiting for the transmission plate to ship so I can get that and the cat guards on.

I was very surprised to learn that’s what comes on the trd off road. All my Tacomas (1st, 2nd and 3rd gens) as well as my 2020 tundra sport have at least had thin metal skid plates covering the vital front end parts. This thing is an absolute joke!

Did you install it yourself? Mine comes in next week and I’m considering just doing it myself instead of bringing it in. I’m assuming it’s bolt on?

You can do it yourself. It's easier if you drop the spare though.

Reading the manual and found out that you need to keep the mirror adjustment switch to the L or R position for the reverse mirror down to work! i always kept in center spot. The manual didnt specify if it was trim specific or not.

Also got an extended warranty today, thanks for the referral @Coyboyzfan.

I just installed mine. I dropped the spare and jacked the truck up from the trailer hitch receiver a bit to help it clear the rear axle. Took about 20 minutes start to finish.

Any chance you could share your wiring scheme for the ditch lights to Cali switch? Did you get the switch works with the running lights? I did the the same switch with Lasfit pods. They work but I don't have it wired correctly (so the back light works with running lights). appreciate if you have anything that could help.

I went off the wiring diagram from this thread. I’m not concerned about the backlight for when I have my regular lights on so I didn’t wire it in. From what I figured out, the wire used for the backlight can be tied to the main ground for the switch if not going to be used for that. I figured out my hot wires and my ground and went with it. I did the same thing on my 11 Tundra. I may rewire it to have the back light for when I have my lights on but I doubt it. Honestly I keep it simple so if I decide to get another truck, everything’s easily removed and set back to stock.
