The camera should be able to move from grille to grille. The mount is a little different going from the TRD Offroad to the Heritage grille. There are lots of options to get a suitable mount without having to spend a lot of money. Some members are selling 3D printed ones for the Heritage grille and some venders are making mounts as well.

I took my TRD Offroad grille off, but used the mount and some rubber blocks to switch it over to the Heritage grille. It is bigger and works but clunky. The camera has 2 little torx screws that hold it to the mount. Just remove the screws and the camera can be put into the other mounts.

 

• A little rear diff breather extension. Reused the old breather and used 5/16 fuel line and Toyota Union

  90404-51319. Nice little $20 project to add a few extra feet to make sure the diff doesn’t flood out.

believe ur mistaken. me n the technician noticed the obvious torx screws that hold the camera to the mount, but the mount from my platinum simply wouldn’t fit the new sport/off-road grill i wanted installed. the issue is toyota doesn’t sell the varying mounts that attach to the grills, they sell the cameras w the varying mounts already attached. being in a loaner for a few hours and finding all this out via txt while the front end’s completely removed, obviously 3D printing a mount that fit wasn’t an option. they ordered the camera (w the mount) that fit and the install was completed the next morning. thx for learning w me tho

 

What bump stop setup do you have in there? looks not stock

 

Well that’s too bad. With the 5 different grilles, one would hope that they would be interchangeable to a degree. Having to buy a camera to complete a grille swap would make the prospect very costly.

I have to post my TRD grille in the buy and sell section and will make sure that the “T” shaped camera mount is included.

Looking good! I'm out of town for another 5 or 6 days and will be doing mine along with the mustache bar when I get home. Can't wait to see installed photos.

Westcott designs sells 3d printed brackets for the cameras, using one on my heritage grill…. No need to spend $300 when you can spend $30

 

u need to when ur halfway thru install my guy. i’ll get something for the ‘old’ camera don’t worry.
again, toyota doesn’t sell it and it was at the dealership being done. hopefully this clears up ur confusion. lastly, westcott can keep their shit but by all means enjoy it. thx

haha just don’t tell me bout some $5 dollar piece of plastic form a 3rd party seller after toyota’s already kicked me in the balls.

I have the blackish one that came on my Limited TRD Offroad. I wouldn't say it is a perfect black but more of that plastic matt look with the chrome Toyota logo and of course the "T" shaped camera mount.

Added the Diode Dynamics SS6 Amber Fog Light Kit that replaced the stock fog lights on my 23 Platinum. Very easy plug and play install with all necessary components included. Next up is their stealth Amber light bar. Just waiting on my cali raised switch to come in. Also getting refunded for my Toyota OEM tonneau cover so I ordered the diamondback SE today. Fun times for me.

 

Do any amber fogs match perfectly with the factory TRD Pro amber marker lights?

 

Not a clue. I don’t have the pro grille with those marker lights to know. Be a good question for Diode Dynamics or someone who’s done this swap that has that grille.

Look at the upside at least the 1794 comes with the TRD Package which I see you chose. Wish the Platinum had that option….
