    2010 Tundra TRD
Hi Everyone, first time poster, new (to me) Tundra owner, a 2010 TRD. My wife and I love this truck! Anyway, like my other cars I wanted to install a fire extinguisher in the truck. I had seen mounting brackets available commercially on Ebay and Amazon, but wanted something I could fit today, and at a lower cost. So I went to Home Depot and picked up some 1/16 inch perforated steel ($4 for 3 feet) and fabricated a bracket about 18" wide that fits between the passenger rear seat frame and utilizes the seat bolts that go in to the floor. Then I bolted the extinguisher bracket to it. I was very pleased with the result, it's solid and fits perfectly.

Makes a world of difference for the front end eh? Not to mention you have much more light output than before. The stock Tundra lights have the same light output equivalent to a dying candle.

Installed powder coated rings and center cap decals. Cleaned severely neglected throttle body and had a minor heart attack when I pulled the oil cap. 20190106_172553.jpg 20190106_135446.jpg 20190106_154254.jpg

If you don't mind me asking what's the total cost of this mod? My headlights are terrible and you have the nicest headlights on the market for our trucks. Beautiful work and truck!

I think we all want them! I'll probably end up with some spyders. There is a used set nearby for $150. But I lose the adjust feature. I'd love to find a good set of oem lights. I've done the BHLM before and wanted to do it again but my lenses are awful on this RW.

I just can't stand the dullness of my lenses. One cleaned up pretty good with a restore kit but one is cloudy from the inside. I could pull the lenses and restore them from both sides but it probably won't last. Huge bummer for me as I told my wife when I got the RW I'd not have to do alot of mods to make it what I want it to be. Turns out I lied. Tremendous lie!

That's exactly how I wound up getting these headlamps, and the DAP Tune before that. And I just bookmarked some LED fogs and tail lamps....sigh...

Still have your stock headlights? Were the lenses clear? Would you be interested in selling them? I know a fella....
