New taillights, since they stretch to the side i wanted to get rid of the red. also i like the smooth contour of these, actually slightly changes the rear body lines since the stock ones are boxy and protrude a little bit - as seen in before photo20181214_132959.jpg

Started working on my low profile bed rack, 12" in height, so when i put my RTT on top it won't go above the cab and cause more MPG loss

That angle is perfectly aligned with the cab, i'm so good :D

Depending on your definition, I’d bet there’s around 3-5k worth of damage. Haven’t seen the estimate yet.

Tried to find a fix for the headrest, short of just bending the arms. So far, no luck. I don't like how it is so far forward.

Looks great so far! I look forward to see how this comes out. I was thinking about doing something similar if I didn't keep my Pace Edwards Rack.

It's just going to be a simple 4 post rack that runs the length of the bed, 3"x2" thick gauge steel tubing can support like 2000lbs on it, for my roof top tents and the thiccc chicks i'm into these days. Materials was close to $100, a far cry from $800-1000 racks you see out there, i'll finish it after the holidays.

That’s what I’m thinking! My uncle, who does paint less dent, thinks I may be looking more in the 7-10k range based on the pics. I just hope they don’t total my baby.

Plasti Dipped grill and badges. Shorty antenna.
Decided to wrap the handles. The front handles were a weird green sun fade.
Got a steal at Hobby Lobby, 100 ft for $1.50! Took my time and got them nice and tight. Took 2 hours total from first bolt to last. I like it.

    Cheers!

Not overly thrilled lately with my BFG k02's so I ordered a set of Firestone destination MT/2's for the truck. Didn't find a lot of information on the web about them but I've had good luck lately with Firestone on another car and at the price I figured it was worth a shot

Haha. Nice work. I did the same thing when building my own rack. I stayed super low, only 2” rise. It’s all in the details!!

Sunny December day, thought I'd clean out my DECKED storage system, it's really dirty so took everything apart and scrubbed and washed it. Trying to restore it back to its original glory.

Interesting, let me see your bed rack, what did you end up using it for? I'm building the rack for a roof top tent and with my storage system i have enough clearance to store jerry cans upright.

Tried to find a weird noise. All of a sudden today it started making this high pitched electronic kind of warbling sound. The pitch and volume varied up and down, with no logic to it. I turned off the radio, the climate control, my phone, fiddled with the seat, the brake controller, the transmission, nothing. I was starting to get concerned, I just bought this thing, then................it was my travel mug. It was almost empty and as it cooled down, the pressure had to equalize and it made the damnedest sound. Phew!

Finally got the Loncky leather steering wheel cover installed. First impression is I couldn't be happier!

Before. Stock non-leather with a spongy and smoothed over section at 1 o'clock.

On the work bench, dry fitting the cover.

3/4's of the way done. I used Weldwood contact cement to ensure the flatted spoked sections were stuck down.

Rim is now covered. I used the basic skip a stich to secure the cover.

Only two issues I've found are at the 7 o'clock flat spoke section (wrinkles) and the 3 o'clock spoke section, bunching.
Hopefully those will ease out with usage and environmental factors!

Back on the Tundra and looking great!

    Happy Holidays from Texas!

Looks great. I been putting off installing mine. Would you recommend doing it with the steering wheel on or off?

Thanks all! I did mine off so I could control the temperature, had task lighting already set up and a device (Victor engraving block ball vice) to hold the wheel. Might be easier to do it on the truck if you don't have a way to hold the wheel.
