New rear brake pads, thought I was hearing the tattle tails but pads were %90 or better, were Wagner probably ceramic. Toyota pads in now are nice and quiet.
Also installed 1" shackles, just a touch of rake added, think it is was starting to squat in rear. Prefer a tiny bit of rake.

    Looks good.

Looking at that bed cover. What do you think of the vinyl top/cover? Do you think it will hold up over time?

    UCAs are in.
    new LCAs are in.
new outer Tie rod ends are in.
    Cab mount has been chopped.
Turns out I need wheel spacers. Rock Warrior wheels with a 2.5" lift want to self clearance on the tie rods...

Are the new tie rod ends just OEM? Did you need to replace them, or just did it since you were in there?

They're not factory. The factory ones were seized up. I ordered spares and had them with me just in case during the alignment... During the alignment trying to get the factory ones off, one of them self destructed.

    Gotcha. Thx man.

Reason I was asking is because I was thinking of replacing all balljoints/bushings after seeing how much steering slop the new ucas corrected and since I am over 100k miles anyhow...

Added a Tyger bed cover - surprising quality for the cheap price. Also tossed on some Hellwigs to make it not sag when towing then hit the lake! Even towing a 5500lbs boat I can out accelerate my wife's 2015 4Runner. This thing is a beast! IMG_7194.jpg

It is seems like it is pretty tough, I sure you could find a way to jack it up. But it seems like it should last a long time. I came from a solid fold and wont do that again, panels eventually separated

Gave her a good cleaning today.

Put close to 4k miles on it in the last 3 weeks. Tucson to Temcula to San Diego and back the other weekend then towing my little fishing boat from Tucson to Oroville CA and back for a week at the lake last week.

She was a dirty girl (not that there's anything wrong with that)

I installed a set of 1" wheel spacers today. And now, my 17" Rock Warrior wheels no longer rub on the Tie Rods at wheel lock.

Funny because I removed a couple small dents from my rear bumper and repainted it. Rigid flush mount lights showed up yesterday, need to get them installed.

Is this still the way to go, or is DAP tuning better and making this obsolete?

Thanks, just put one on my work truck, 2500 Z71. My retractable was getting rickety and less water resistant. Hoping simpler will last longer.
Always wondered if foldable types held up over time, like the concept but was doubtful of longevity.
