    Thank You!

He looked at one in Phoenix for me. This one was in San Diego. Very happy with the purchase so far... the platinum is luxurious

    Gotta love the AZ vehicles.

Buying used is such a crap shoot right now with all the flood vehicles out there. The 2010 I just bought was originally purchased in Sierra Vista AZ, spent it's whole life in that area with all service being done at Sierra Toyota. I didn't really want to buy from a dealer but with the history and only 66k miles I felt "comfortable" with what I was getting. Love it so far.

Nice score Bailey!! She looks awesome! I was stationed in Tucson for a bit, I LOVE a desert car!!

I’m with Tacobender on buying from a stealership. . But when the “right” vehicle, with clean pedigree is in your face, well, you do what you gotta do!

Yup. White would have been the preferred color (they are the fastest, ya know) and red was a couple notches down from that but, hey, it's the wife's favorite color and the price was more than right. Hated paying that rip off sales tax and other crap though.

Congrats. It sounds like you're de-chroming. If so, what are your plans for the bumper?

I didn't even see this, sorry. These are LED strips with a peel and stick backing. I think they would work well sticking to the roof of your cap.

Okay, so you are switching out. I'm pondering maybe color matching mine or replacing it with a Rock Warrior one.
I was looking at a 2013 RW a couple of days ago and it was just plastic, and the piece below the grille (but above our metal bumper) was part of it. So the whole thing is one piece.
I would just get my bumper painted, but it doesn't line up correctly on the corners so I would rather fix that issue as well.

Well, got back from Santa Cruz weekend to discover my truck leaking oil on the driveway. It appears to be coming from the Autozone replacement oil cannister. When I tightened it it started dripping worse. I guess I will buy the metal Toyota one on Amazon and hope that fixes it.

Is Pelfreybilt signaling they're hopping on the 2nd gen Tundra train?

I want a new bumper too - but I want one from them.

I changed my serpentine belt Saturday. Even watching a video and looking at a belt diagram, I still had a rough time. The biggest problem I had was trying to get the new belt routed right and not being able to see all the pulleys well.

What light bar is this?? I spent a fair bit of time looking at getting a bar in there somewhere, but couldn't find anything that would fit, with all the hood release stuff in the way.

Installed a backup camera in the tailgate, hooked it up to a new rear view mirror with an LCD screen.

I searched everywhere and could not find a write up, so for anyone interested:

The tailgate latch with camera and rear view mirror are made by “Master Tailgater”. Quality seems great, looks factory which is what I was most concerned with.

I connected the power and ground to the camera using the rear tailgate power and ground wires (see picture). I soldered the red camera wire to the blue with red stripe wire, only power when the truck is put in reverse. Then I soldered the black camera wire to the white with black stripe wire.

Next I ran the yellow AV cable along the frame and zip tied it every couple feet with the factory harness. I ran the AV cable up under the passenger scuff plate.

Next, the rear view mirror connected to the existing factory mount, there’s just a little screen you loosen on the factory one to remove and then slip on the new one. This was HUGE, I didn’t want to deal with melting the adhesive and sticking on a new mount.

Next, I took off the passenger kick plate and the passenger grab handle and plastic which exposed the hole that goes under the headliner. I pushed the wire from the rear view under the headliner, I actually used my wife’s plastic rice spoon from our rice cooker (bonus points for using my wife’s cooking utensils) to push the cable under the headliner until I got to the exposed hole.

Then I dropped the rear view cable down the hole on the dash side, it’s unobstructed so it dropped easily down to the passenger kick plate side. From there I connected the red (acc) and green (camera) wires to the light blue wire on the bottom most white plug (11 pins holes). I grounded the black rear view wire to the ground bolt and viola - rear view camera.

Camera is clear, rear view is actually nicer than my stock one. Another plus is the camera has parking lines.

I’ll put up some pictures as soon as I can find Tundras.com on Tapatalk, anyone know where it went??

Installed my color matched mirror caps, it was kind of a PITA, but I got the new ones on without breaking them. Unfortunately the chrome ones that came off weren't so lucky. I broke 1 tab off of each of them.

They’re still good! Keep them for trade material. My trade yielded me chrome caps missing the outer tab on each. They fit right and tight! Don’t trash em....
