    Exactly!

One of the main reasons I run Soft Toppers. I can fold it forward then hook up my5th wheel RV and drag it where I want.

If I wanted to run a rigid cap 100% of the time, I might as well have gone for a Sequoia.

It’s a Hooke road. eBay had them 25% off recently so figured I’d go for it

Damn, that's just a nice looking truck.

    Nice work on the detailing.

I did my Spring detailing a few weeks ago, was pleased with myself, stepped back to snap a pic, and right before I could get my shot lined up, a pterodactyl shat down my truck. (I was instantly pissed, but then I couldn't stop laughing. It was a brown buzzard, and I mean damn. I was like "WTF did you eat, you savage!").

that’s why I maintain a healthy layer of protective grime. It’s especially helpful in pollen season!

Yessir, I’ve been looking into this for months waiting on Toyota to get parts

    1. Jasper Transmission is $3500 my cost (shop)

    2. Toyota transmission would be about $2500 my cost (shop again)

Jasper does have a better warranty (3yr 100k); but I’ll also be picking up exhaust gaskets, transfer case gasket, and a transmission cooler to add in and remove the warmer puck I have. This is also on a A750 tranny which came with the 4.7L V8

Something to add to this: my tc has been bad for over a year, I fried my reverse gear a couple months ago off roading so it was a matter of time. Secondly I lost a little fluid a few weeks ago and didn’t top it off so the combo of low fluid and already toasty tc sent it over the edge. Temp in the tc climbed to 280 before I lost my top end gears (probably due to flex lockup) and then once I stopped to tinker with it I lost the bottom end gears as well. Set codes for shift solenoid D and B as well as the tc clutch solenoid code I’ve had ever since the tc went bad

*I’ve been planning on swapping the whole thing instead of replacing just the tc again*

Bought this truck 1 yr ago yesterday. Had the SOS Lowering Kit and SOS Airbag Kits ordered and finally got the time to finish install. I know it’s a 4WD. But the tailgate is 6-7” lower so I can actually get into the back without a ladder. I can load stuff. The wheel well openings are both exactly 38” from ground and a 4’ level has a centered bubble along the bottom of the canopy. Rides nice so far. Couldn’t be happier. Loaded with 11 psi at the moment

Installed this bumper over the weekend. Installed the spod controller and wired up the Wolfbox unit. Gonna clean up the wiring above the Wolfbox and install some Baja Squadrons into the bumper for extra light. No regerts with anything!

Recently I had a new set of Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws mounted up after approx. 60k miles with a set of AT3Ws. During their install, tech found both front calipers' boots like this:

That's an OEM set of rotors/pads I installed 62k-ish miles ago. NO shimmies/shakes but definitely time for some attention.

Front is stock. Rear is now sprung under axle, and the shocks are Bilsteins that were sold with the lowering kit from SOS.
I have a lot of respect now for Bilstein shocks. Really improves the ride. Should put new shocks up front but 'time and money'!

Finished painting the panels and I’m stoked. I just installed the Bunker led fogs and I think I need to fine tune the alignment on both but so far I’m happy. I’ll ache l out the Sealight fogs.

Ground clearance but also the ability to drive in winter without the back end coming around. Definitely
improves speed stability. I've been wheeling Land Cruisers for almost 30 yrs, bumper clearance and departure
angle is important but I'm not into the wheeling this truck.
