I like the mgm color but it shows dirt so easily. That silver looks so clean and fresh.

When you show up at the car rental office in Alaska and the lot is full of 2024 Tacomas…… not a bad little truck. Drove the hell out of it for 4 days, but I’ll still keep my Tundra :) IMG_0115.jpg

Replaced the water pump and timing belt on my truck. First thing I've done of that magnitude so it feels good!

Thanks man! Yeah I got some cuts and probably some of the worst hand cramps I've felt, but well worth it haha

Oh also threw on a new short antenna to replace the old style OEM one. It was a nice reprieve from the bigger job.

I can appreciate it, I can’t keep anything stock. Need info on those flares.
They look fairly low profile and smooth. No bolt holes or anything.

What happens with that front reservoir hose when you hit a bump? Looks like it’s right on top of UCA at rest.

It is close, and I mentioned I want to change that, but it’s not resting on it. There’s enough room for travel for now.

I want to find a bracket that will allow me to mount it right above the shock itself to the shock tower mount. Trying to find an image as an example for this reply I may have actually found something.

I used my winch to pull a 20+ year old giant bush thing from the ground. The neighbor came over to watch, it was great.

I had a bad battery as well as belt squeal so I also changed the serpentine belt to a gates (green) and a litens tensioner arm.
I replaced the bad battery with a new one and I replaced the old Amazon military terminal terminals with the KnuKoncepts battery terminals and they are really great, much better than previous.

I have a fairly new battery but had a parasitic drain that killed my battery a few times. Now as it’s getting colder it’s having a hard time in the AM. I think I found the drain which was a front bumper camera I have wired to always be on. It’s now on with ignition. But I think the damage has been done to the battery and it’s time for a new one.

Nice! Always fun to use your winch when you can. Wish I had my setup when I moved in to my house as I had a similar need to remove a miniature palm I dug out by hand. Curious, do have the Apex badlands, just found out mine won't winch out all of a sudden.

Recieved my fairlead/hook combo powder coated and installed back today. Sprayed the Toyota emblem a similar color to my wrap and installed last weekend as well, all back together now.

Put a new grille on this weekend, $200 off Amazon, not bad. Wire harness for the lights wasn't long enough to go into the cab so I ordered a tap-a-fuse online and will get to it this weekend for the lights.Tundra.jpg

Installed Traction bars and unfortunately had to remove the air bags as they were interfering with each other. Left everything loose as I have to go back and reinstall oe bumpstops.

    It's deceiving, also I have a RCSB (shortest wheel base) but fitment is as follows;

Rear: 1/2" of clearance gained at the rear axle.

Front: 1/4" of clearance loss at the shackle near the gas tank if you do not have a gas tank skid plate.

After a couple days of having to jump start my truck even after putting a charger on the battery I decided to go pick up a new battery. My charger would often go into desulphation mode so I suspect the battery is bad. it’s only about 2 years old, but the parasitic drain fully drained it at least 4 times.

I went ahead and bought a new cheap battery and installed tonight. I’m curious how the old battery holds up with no load on it and how the new cheap battery does in the truck. I’ll probably let it sit a couple days and then check on it.

One thing I did find out is that the last place that sold me a battery sold me the 24F group when I should have the 27F. Wouldn’t me the cause of my issue but I want to get the most CCA I can.

Costco did the same to me. Sold me the 24F, which died in 2 years, however they replaced it for free with the bigger 27F, and all has been good so far.

The 07 CM just got the annual NHOB undercoat treatment today, including their undercarriage spray wash treatment. Keeping the rust at bay the Pennsylvania way. Now to get one last coat of Carnuba on it before winter hits, and then put away the detailing stuff til next season.
