Correct, just rotors and pads. Calipers are in good shape and function as normal so I felt like they didn't need to be replaced. However, power stop and many other rotor and pad manufactures sell complete kits with new calipers if you think you need new. When I had everything apart, I cleaned the calipers and they function as normal. I don't live in a rust prone area either so there is that. The z36 kit from power stop have red calipers if you buy the entire kit.

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...brake+&+wheel+hub,rotor+&+brake+pad+kit,13824 This is the link to rock auto for your 07. Not sure what truck needs new brakes... they are pretty easy to find correct parts on their site if it's for your 10.

I am just looking at this set on RA now. The '07 is for sale, has brakes so it's coming off my profile as soon as it sells.

Officially retired the '08 SR5 this week and the '21 Pro has taken over the role as my primary daily driver...

It will now be used as a back up to the Pro and will handle certain hauling or dog duties. I've had it since it was new, and it's currently sitting at 287k miles  No complaints w/the service or experiences that we've had w/it. It's been my daily driver, done vacations, visited other countries, towed our travel trailer, hauled our pups over the years, and most importantly it has kept the family safe.

When the wife and I met and subsequently got together, we were kinda the Brady Bunch of dog owners. So, over the years, the truck has transported a few pups as part of our family including Astor (Mal), Maze (GSD), Gucci (GSD), Lex (Ridgeback mix), Joey (Border Collie), Onyx (Black Lab), Daisy (Springer/Cocker mix), Trigger (Springer Spaniel), Ranger (Dutch Shepherd), Rudy (Mal), Doerak (Mal), Hook (Dutch Shepherd), Liezel (Shepherd/Husky Mix), and now Buddy (Black Mouth Cur)....

If it was appropriate to 'thank a truck for its service'... this rig has certainly earned that honor and then some!!!

Well, it's now on to a much slower pace of reaching the 300k milestone :hattip:

Part of me wishes you would race it to 300 then retire it. Don't forget that much like us, these trucks run better with age.

I was born and raised OB/ Sunset Cliffs. But this pic is north county. Does look similar though. Are you from the OB area?

No I was born and raised in CO then moved to CA for my tour at Pendleton. Moved to mission after I got out and worked in ob (Winston's) and Pb (blind melons) for 10 years before I moved back home to co. I left socal in 03

Haha. If you were there between 94-03 I probably made your drinks, I mainly worked at Blind melons but when the owners bought Winston's I also worked over there with Teddy. And cheers to some Superunloader! SDSU alum 03. Only took me 7 years for my undergrad

LOL……. I was there before that. We first started hanging out at Winston’s before it was Winstons. It was when OB was still a bit sketchy. The sign at the bar entrance read “ check your weapons at the door “. Oh the good old days:)

I had heard stories of those days. OB was always a bit sketchy with all the Vermon crowd, and Dago influence they had going on othere. Good catching up with times past. Having grown up there for you though, I can only imagine the stories you have. But that's for another thread.

As an update to my 2nd gen and stop digressing, I ordered a remaned cv axel from https://www.cvjreman.com/sterring-racks/ to replace my drivers side axel. Ever since I put my bilstein 5100's on last summer I've been having issues with the cv axel on that side. Not sure what's causing it because I'm only on the second setting but I tore the oem boot within 500 or so miles after install. In a pickle for parts I replaced with a duralast gold and it too failed, albeit almost 10k miles and almost a year later. Mistake number one. Warrantied that part and it failed within 1k miles. This time it wasn't the boot though, it was the clamp that wasn't installed right at the factory. Grease was escaping from that area. I didn't want to warranty it again due to failure rate so I'm eating my money and making this new purchase. I'm hoping for a resolution to my drivers cv axel being problematic. If that doesn't work I might go back to the first setting on the shocks. Because at this point I'm baffled that 1.5" of lift is the only change I've made since the problematic cv axel thing started.

Did you do the diff drop? I shredded my driver side cv boot and have a new gsp axle ready to put in. I never did the differential drop though. Might do it when I put the new cv in.

I didn't do a dif drop because I had assumed that my lift was subtle enough that it wouldn't be necessary. The specs on my bilstein chart says the second setting nets 1.57". After it settled I resulted in 1.45 inches. Maybe the diff drop is what I need even with the minor ride height adjustment from the 5100's. Hoping more durable and the bigger boot with more articulation will help. I don't even wheel my truck. I use it on Forrest service roads and for river access and firewood gathering. No trails per se.

Can I ask you how you're cleaning, or what you're using on your floor mats? Mine look clean while they're still wet, but once they're dry they look dirty and dull again. Thank you.

This is why I'm baffled. Second setting on 5100 and problems. So many people here are in your position with lifts under or around 3" and here I am eating cv boots.

Bilstein 5100's on second setting. No uca, no spacers. the lift netted me just shy of 1.5" after it settled. Stock wheels and stock tires for the rock warrior package. 285/70/17.

Edit in case you didn't see my og post. Third cv axel that has had failure in under 12k mileage. First oem shortly after shocks went on, guessing between 500-1k miles after install. Second 10kish miles albeit it was a duralast gold part not oem. Noticed that it had a torn boot when I did my brakes a few weeks back. I warrantied the part and that one, 3rd failure, was under 1k mileage after installed. The last part didn't have any torn boots but it appeared the clamp wasn't tight around the outside fitting and the grease was being forced out where it connects the bearing. At that point I was looking at extended axels or bigger boots and @BreyTundy directed me to the cvjremam shop so I'm now on my forth cv axel and hoping I've found a resolution.

we'll I would say take that with a grain of salt because duralast is garbage, if you're gonna buy parts store axles get them from O'Reillys. The duralast could've just failed because they're bad, shouldn't be a UCA problem since you're under 2", how many miles on the OEM when it went out?
