I wouldn’t trust that those are OEM, probably from China off Amazon and will fail in a couple hundred or thousand miles

One is in the passenger side fender, the other is under the intake (at least on my 4.7, but it’s the same setup)

These are both located above the passengers side fender liner. Underneath the windshield washer solvent reservoir.

They are vinyl overlays available on places like etsy or ebay.

Have some on the wife's jeep and they look great, plus have lasted for years. Got some for the tundra long ago and have never installed them :notsure:

Installed some factory ish tow mirrors today. Hit a bird going about 40mph last week and it knocked the glass out of the GMC style mirrors I had. Can't use them anymore due to one of the clips being knocked out. I will have those up for sale if anyone would be interested. Idk where I could source another clip from or maybe one could be fashioned to fix, but I'd let them go for cheap.

    What is factory ish?

I have OEM mirrors that were taken off a truck with some hard use. I'd love a clean set. I know many aftermarket mirrors have problems with shaking.

Had my 07 CM 4x4 Pa. inspected and got new brakes and rotors in the process. For anyone that isn't familiar with a Pennsylvania inspection, it is no joke. They check everything and I mean everything. If it was on the car when you bought it, it needs to be there and working for inspection. Good to go for another year.

    Some.
I'm looking at doing the same in Nov as a bday gift to myself. My OE headlights are hazy and fogged so their output sucks and one of my OE fogs died last week.
I run my light bar with my high beams since I can't see for sh** with just the headlights. Not an issue for where I am currently at. First 9 miles into town, I know where everyone is at. It's single lane, and that early in the AM, we all run CBs. The next 16 miles, I pass the same 4 vehicles coming up every time. They are all company vehicles, but dont use their cbs and idgaf if they hit a deer...... I still flip my highs off and hope I stay on the road.

Lifted the Tundra 3in both front and back, to keep the rake. Installed new Bilstein 5100's all around, set on the highest setting 2.3in and a 1in top plate spacer achieving 3.3in on the front and threw on 3in blocks in the back.

Can you give us a review of the ride quality once it’s been on a while?

I don't like the way my 5100s ride. Roads aren't the best where I live and I feel the 5100s are a bit too harsh for my liking. I drive 95% on road. Great quality and so simple for lifting the front though. I had 5100s on my 06 and I really liked them... :notsure:

Could the difference be in your tires and not the shocks? I've got E load rated tires on my truck with the 5100's. I changed the tires with the shocks and noticed that my ride was a bit rougher with the change. I attribute it to the stiff sidewalls on the tires. The new shocks have to be better than the factory eight year old ones they replaced.

Yes the E rated tires definitely didn't help. The ride was still a bit too harsh for my liking with the stock tires. Initially I had the preload at the highest setting and didn't like the ride so went to the lowest setting and it wasn't too bad. Then after the E rated tires it felt like I was back to the highest pre load again. The shocks really handle great and take the gradual bumps amazingly. It's just the quick bumps or road cracks that are harsh compared to the oem struts and unfortunately that's 50%+ of the roads in my neck of the woods. So it's like 50/50 love hate for me and my driving situation. I really liked the ride of my stock tokikos but after 16 years they had started to leak and become bouncy lol. I bought very low mileage hitachi struts off a 21 that I might throw on and sell my 5100s. I also might lower it haha

The current setup has been on for a month. I'm slow to post on here. I've had 5100s on a 99 tacoma, 00 tundra and now this one. The ride quality has always been stiffer than a stock shock, no matter if it was set on the lowest or highest setting, I've tried both. They are meant for offroading even though they say both, its really hard to strike that on/offroad balance. Denver roads are bumpy, full of potholes and on the highway you can hit some major bumps that I'm surprised I don't catch air on or semis don't crash going over!! And yall are definitely right about the difference in ride quality factoring in tire load rates. One thing everyone should look out for is everytime I go to a Discount tire for any service they pump up the ever living shit out of my tires (40psi). In the driver door it says 33psi front 35psi back, always check your tire pressure after anyone fills it because one time I didn't, the middle started balding so fast and had the most stiff ride ever.

AT (especially oversized) tires often have higher pressure recommendations.

I run my ~34" KO2's (E load) at 45psi in the metro area/highways. I pump them up to 55psi when towing our travel trailer.

You could always do a chalk test and really dial in pressures to suit your typical load and current tire choice.

Having a tough time posting pix but I spent about 4 hours scraping and vacuuming salt out of the carpet, (the front mats over the carpet have more salt than Mortons, they're gonnerz).

Gent I bought the truck from used it as a tool, maintained the motor, installed $1,600 worth of brakes last month but the inside has never seen a shop vac, rag or windex. Funny, he was a heavy smoker but it wasn't all that bad in there...but OMG, the salt in the carpet!!

Going to take a lot of work to rid the interior of the corn husk dust, stone, gunk etc, but I've already found enough change to fill the tank!!!!

Headlights are cloudy. Any good cleaners out there?

Any buffing kit should work well for hazy headlights. I just did mine and they look brand new, saved myself a few hundreds.
You have to apply a layer of clear coat when you’re done. That’s how you make them last.
