Changed the oil for the first time today. What a roller coaster.
Started off with almost not being able to remove the filler cap since it was torqued on by He-man. :( Then I crawled under and had enough room so I didn't need to jack up the truck. :) Then I noticed that I didn't have to remove the skid plate because I didn't have one. :):(.
The draining of the pan went well. :) Had a little trouble removing the small cap from the oil filter assembly and a LOT of trouble removing the whole oil filter cap assembly itself. He-man torqued that on with everything he had. After using a breaker bar and having pieces of plastic breaking off, I was finally able to remove it. :) Now my oil filter wrench was completely stuck to the plastic filter cap assembly.

After using a hammer to remove my wrench, my filter cap assembly completely comes apart (spring, washer, and sleeve tube go flying).
I reassemble everything , close it all back up, fill with oil and everything looks good to go. Then I start the truck and hear something weird. I walk to the front and look underneath and see that I am pressure washing my driveway with oil from the filter cap assembly.:mad:
I remove the oil filter assembly again and see that the insides have popped free. I put it back together , but for some reason if it got wiggled just a little it would pop apart again.
    :annoyed:
After a trip to Autozone to purchase a complete new, metal assembly, I put everything back together, torque to the proper specs, refill the oil I lost, and everything seems good.......I hope :D

you will need He-Man again when time comes to pull the front differential drain plug. Bring your breaker bar and a great 10mm hex-bit!!!!!

I've never done that before , might leave it up to a professional depending on difficulty rating. I've changed oil tons of times before though and never had an experience like this. There's something to be said for the one piece oil filter cannister.

It's just as simple as changing the engine oil. They just use more than 40 pounds of torque. More like 180 when I had to pull mine last weekend. No $hit!!

Then again if you don't have 4x4 then no front dif for you

I added Ceramic window tint to my '07, and replaced the wiper blades.
I'm keeping this one basically stock, but I will be adding a Hellwig to the rear soon.

Fixed my aftermarket fog-light mounting issue. They are black-housing HIDs from EleDobleU. Also changed the gear oil in both my differentials and the transfer case. Good amount of gunk on the front diff plug; glad I got it done!

Rubbing with those tires or did you already cut/chop to avoid that?

I had to chop the body mount, remove the front mud flaps and bend the skid plate to make them fit. I would have preferred a different lift but it was included with the wheels and tires so I went with it

Finally got a chance to use the new foam cannon . Really impressed, this was the lower setting, didn't figure that out till the end. Highest setting was really thick foam and this was using cheap leftover WalMart brand car soap.
