    1 or 2... I lost count
So, my initial impressions were pretty close. The new suspension is very close to a brand new stock TRD Offroad suspension. It is not really any softer or stiffer at low speeds which is not necessarily a bad thing, but at higher speeds, it eats bumps much better and is much more controlled. I don't have any particular notes about the rear other than it deals with loads better than stock with less sag but it still feels much like stock. Overall I'm quite happy.

And today I wired in a recessed power strip to the back of the center console that connects to my inverter in the bed. The power strip almost fit into the stock hole but I had to do a little massaging to make it fit. I also relocated and kept the factory 12v outlet next to my remote inverter switch just because I could.

I trimmed the rear seatback brackets in my DC today to better access where I will mount my amp and sub.

I bought these red BBS stickers & was planning to put them on the lips or center caps but sold the wheels instead. I think it would look good on your beautiful wheels but to each their own.

This is more like a kudos to Crutchfield post but a few weeks ago I ordered a Maestro harness adapter praying it was the right one to connect to the Kenwood DDX9906XR:

    Screenshot_20221013-194028_Brave.jpg

    It wasn't.
So I posted a review on Crutchfield's site to say that it didn't fit warning others to shy away from it.

Today I got a package from Crutchfield that happened to be another adapter that I didn't order. I pulled up my account on the site and saw this:

    Screenshot_20221013-194011_Brave.jpg

I tried it out on the radio and it's a perfect fit. Well, damn I thought customer service was dead. At Crutchfield it certainly isn't. They've gotta customer for life.

    They’ve always done really well.

a couple years back they doubled their size of call center and customer service center. They’re just down the road from my work.

Doesn't quite fit the question but I'm about to put Eibach coils on 6112s

Which coils are you referring to for on the 5100s?

I just put this one on. I don't know if it increased the range, but it definitely works. Nice clean look. the factory antenna was bent and always coming loose. Probably from going through car washes.

    Here’s the link.

I’m just trying to find someone that has done this and has some advice. Like which clip/ setting , did they use a shim on the drivers side etc. I wish I had the budget for the 6112 set up.

Not that I’m ordering that kit but good call I didn’t see that. Well I’ll either be ordering some Eibach struts or I’ll get lucky. Won’t be for another week or 2

If I remember right, they should fit with each other, I had thought of the same idea when I still hat 5100s, I called around and the general consensus was that I shouldn't do it because the 5100s weren't setup to run the stiffer eibach coil

So, for a budget friendly lift I bought the eibach coils and their pro truck lift shocks separately and put them together myself, overall they're pretty decent, I maxed them out on the 3rd clip and they do ride relatively smooth, not the greatest but a pretty good budget option

    - doesn't mean you can't run the 5100s and eibach coils, but if I remember right the ride will end up being rough, sacrificing lift for ride quality because of the stiffer coil

Replaced the battery. Interstate with 3 yr warranty decided it was done at 3yr 1wk.
Tire ship checked my filter a while back and jacked up the gasket. So, I found dust had gotten past. I ended up cleaning the carbon filter and the MAF which was dusty.
When I was reinstalling the MAF, I noticed that even with it seated properly, it doesn't seal. The OE seal is visibly too small and allows dust to get by (the seal was light with dust all the way around).
Anyone notice this before? I am thinking I will use some rtv to seal it.

I love it when shops mess with stuff I didn't ask them for... And do a crap job putting it back together.

I once had a jiffy lube guy (it was just for an emissions test and Ill never go back) bring my air filter into the waiting room to show me it was clean. I calmly said "I know, I just replaced it a few weeks ago". That vehicle had 3 screws to secure the airbox lid that only lined up with patience. They cranked it down crooked with 2 of the screws. Fixed it myself and swore them off for good.

I worked at a tire shop in high school that only did wheel and tire work. Once a customer came in with a front wheel bearing flopping all over the place. We did the tire work and I took a second to knock the spindle cap off, remove the cotter pin, finger tighten the spindle nut and put it back together. The play was almost eliminated as it rolled out and we advised the customer that the bearings needed service. I felt like that was the right thing to do. Thoughts?
