I’m not ACDC2ZZTop, but those climate controls are definitely AJT Designs. Can’t speak to the gauge bezels.

Yes, I've not seen it in any vids I've watched.
The fluid seems not to be plumbed thru the radiator either, which I'm not used to..I almost want to add another..some day maybe.

    Finished the trans service...
For the final check, I let the trickle go untill was just a bit less than what he shows in this vid, which is more than I've seen in other vids...

all collected, the amount I put back in seems to be about 2qts more than extracted....

Tomorrow, more snooping to try and determine where the drive-line vibration is coming from.

On Edit: If you have this trans cooler, it's the top pipe that you want to connect your discharge tube to.

On Edit 2:....I realized early this am, that the reason I seem to have the extra fluid in the system, is because I top off the used jugs with the old fluid...which is about right!

    Shalom

Moving along now......well, I checked the front end again due to the growling that seems to be getting closer. yep, up next on my ever growing list of "Things that NEED to get done..." is the drivers side prop-shaft/Axle bearing at the differential, drivers side.

When I began to hear said growling, I had did a quick check of it and there didn't seem to be much play...boy there is play in it now!

Onward and upward.have a great day.

    Yes it is.
It would be using the bushing from East Coast Gear.

I have been running this bushing now for a while and after 37,000 miles it is now time to replace the bushing again. Growling and vibration is back

All cosmetic so far see my posts in 2nd gen Black out chrome in progress….
I pulled the dash piece and the rings come off.
I painted with anodized red spray can.
The dash piece was gray and I went with a flat black to match rest of the dash.

    Pretty things
Paranoia finally caught up with me and I picked up the last Miller cat protection plate at my local dealer on Friday.

3 piece design made from pretty beefy 3/16" aluminum, so it's plenty sturdy while remaining light enough to easily install by myself. The hardware is of very high quality and recessed into the plate, so I have a better chance of clearing rocks offroad.

The only letdown is, they didn't take the time to deburr the heat extraction slots in the plates, so they are pretty sharp on one side (the exposed bottom-side of course).

    20220819_160553.jpg

While there is excellent coverage for the front cats, the rears are mostly exposed with this design. Miller apparently has extensions which can be purchased and added, but reviews seem to indicate they are kinda flimsy. We'll see if I order them, rig something myself, or just let it be. It would still be somewhat annoying to access the pipe in front of the rear cats in order to remove them, but definitely possible. Luckily, all of the expensive stuff that also seems to get damaged during a theft is surrounding the front cats, so there is some solace in that.

Hauled supplies up for camp. Stopping for gas every 90 mins worked well with my bladder.

Added active noise filter to aftermarket stereo. Hopefully it gets rid of low hum in the background.

    Also gave it a bath.

Its a rotational vibration the does not follow the speed of the vehicle. Its felt between 47-54ish mph can feel in through the floor board. Vibration goes away when truck is in 4wd

no not the diff drop, the bearing on your rear driveshaft, its in the center of the shaft, has two bolts holding it up to the bed, that is the carrier bearing, you need to space it down when lifting the truck, I'd recommend throwing a spacer on before buying or replacing a bunch of expensive components

the spacer is meant to alleviate driveshaft vibrations (I'm running one with 2.75" in the front and 1.5" in the rear with no issues https://shop-coachbuilder.myshopify.com/search?type=product,article,page&q=carrier+bearing

My bad, I misunderstood what you meant. I have a carrier bearing drop as well.
