Extremely worth it if you live in a hot climate. Getting into an already cooled off cab is heaven.

I am such a cheapskate. All I see is dollar signs floating away if the truck is running and not moving. I avoid the drive thru because of it. Doesn’t help gas is approaching $6.50/g. That said I don’t drive it slowly!

That was me! And to clarify the terminals from SDHQ were not faulty at all. While my truck was in the shop, they nicked a coolant hose and coolant was spraying under the hood while the had the terminals disconnected. Coolant got onto the inside of the terminals, and caused them to oxidize pretty badly and the dealer mounted them back to the posts and then my voltage issue was happening. I was a dummy chasing the issue without first checking the cleanliness of the terminals!

Yes, they are aluminum. I looked around and all this type are aluminum.. I roughed up that inner hole pretty good, I can't twist it or pry it loose by hand.

You are wasting far more money driving it hard than you would letting it idle for 30 seconds before you get in.

It's a lot more fun driving hard than sitting in the car for 30 seconds not doing anything. I pay for fun. :burnrubber:

Yup sure am! I'm in the San Marcos area. I follow them too but I'm not sure if there is a consolidated form where they plan this stuff out.

Lol i didn't say to sit in your car doing nothing. You use the remote start to start your truck from inside your house to let the AC cool it off as you walk to it. Then you get in your nice, cool, cab, and drive away.

Started working on replacing my TRD bedside stickers. Blow dryer and credit card was all I used. Old sticker left some shadowing, but its a 2007 so I guess that's excepted. Planning on new decals so it should hide it.Took about 40 minutes to do one side, it was a slow process.

Question is would it be wrong to replace with some rock warrior decals? I got the rims!

ive been in the same boat in regards to getting rid of the chrome bumpers... i think wrapping them both will be the cheapest option vs buying new and painting. :(

I got mine wrapped about a year ago. Overall still happy with it. Some very small rock dings but that’s to be expected. I think I paid $150 each to have them done. When it finally fails I will do it again.

Why not have the black bumper color matched? It’s not chrome and is already a painted surface?

    Were those Chrome bumpers?

I’ve been looking at what to do about my chrome rear bumper. Wouldn’t mind plastidip as a short term solution, just not sure how well it would stay in the chrome. Wrapping is about $400 but the shop said the white vinyl will discolor over time.

I understand that and have no desire for a black rear bumper. I just want color matched ones.

Looks great. Ive done the plasti dip thing before (old tacoma) and it's not bad, just not really my style anymore. I had issues with clay/dirt staining the black dip so that's another reason i dont use it.

Do you have the “dot” or “G” key? So far I’ve only seen the 12Volt one work with the “dot” key.
