Im 99% sure those are OEM steps as i have the same ones on mine.. I havent done much research into the actual part number since its hard to tell from a black and white picture that most dealer sites have.

We went on a date! What a blast, too! The trail to get there got us dirty and I got to put the new 37s through the ringer! 20220507_194743.jpg 20220507_194914.jpg 20220507_194914.jpg 20220507_201026.jpg 20220507_194743.jpg

spent the day putting in new 500 mile OEM take off springs and going from ToyTec block to ToyTec Adjustable shackle with a New UBK. Found out the polly bushings with the shackle are for leafs not frame shackle bushing so ordered some from Toyota will have to put them in when they arrive.

Both old shackle bolts where seized to the inner sleeve in the bushings, no wonder why it rode terrible. Believe that was the culprit of mystery front end shake.

how'd you get them out with the bolts being seized?

    Stock shackles are two pieces.

Plus the bolt being seized in the leaf spring bushing isnt a problem if youre replacing the entire leaf pack.

The OEM shackle splits in two pieces one side has the bolts the other side doesn't so just pulled it inward till the bolt came out of the upper bushing.

Unexpected productive weekend for the Slurp! Truck was originally supposed to be at the body shop getting a new bed, but that fell through (and my wife was out of town). The Arizona rust free bed I found was in too rough of shape to be refurbished without major repair ($7K-8K), so the rusty bed is going to work until I figure something else out.

While I had a free weekend with the Slurp, I installed the Hookes rear bumper - turned out great and install was easy. Just need to bore out the light holes so my flush Diode Dynamics lights fit. I also removed the front OEM bumper to prepare for the eBay Raptor style front bumper. Unfortunately, the base plate/winch plate holes are off by 1/4 inch, so I need to drill the holes out on that to finish the project. It should have been completed, but I didn't have the tools to drill out the holes. Project de-chrome is very close to completion.

Yeti isn't much of a wrench, but she makes for good company!

Swapped two 12v sockets (one in front, second for 2nd row seats) for USB chargers, but since I actually have some use for 12v outlets in the back I've installed dual 12v socket in a convenient (for my purpose) location.20220508_151839-01.jpg 20220508_151703-01.jpg 20220508_151732-01.jpg 20220508_151641-01.jpg

Finally got around to taking off the bull bar installed by previous owner. I think it looks better without. Now to figure out how to remove/repaint the lower plastic center bumper piece.

Is that actually painted or just black plastic?

Its black plastic but I was thinking just take it off and hit it with some flat black. I've done similar on my Jeep TJ fender flares faded plastic and it held up nice for 3+ years.

About to hit 80 degrees today so I got a new power washer and gave my truck a bath.

That part is easy to notice when it looks bad and invisible when it looks good. Here's my 2012 as of last week.

Well if its just plastic, then you could just hit it real quick with a hand held torch, it’ll bring the color back to it

Yeah, they just launched their campers and business like a month ago. That’s why it’s hard to find them. Follow them on OG. They told me they will be at the Overland Expo with a booth.
I lucked out and bought a prototype camper. Super legit!!! The camper is much lighter than expected.

Stayed at the office late finishing project dechrome! No chrome on the truck really makes the silver pop! The eBay bumpers turned out really well for the money. I think they should serve the truck well for a few years at least! I'm sure I'll be chasing rust, but that's OK. I just need to get the skid plate and the remainder of my Diode Dynamic lighting mounted.

That came out nice! I do not usually like Silver. Getting rid of chrome helps everything

Thank you! Here is a picture the day I got it. Looks a little different now.

Big shoutout to @pyrite808 on these bumpers - got the inspiration from his truck.
