It's the Fortin Evo. It's awesome. Uses my Factory fob so I don't have an additional fob to carry around, and was moderately easy to install. One harness plug, 8 wire connections, and a 5-step programming process. Lock 3x starts the truck, it's runs for 15 mins. Cool feature is if I pull up somewhere just to hop out real quick, I can hit the lock button three times, and take the key out and the truck will stay running. Also, it doesn't shut off when you unlock, I can throw the key, turn to on, and drive away. I'm really happy with it, and for $200 I don't think it honestly gets any better.

New steering wheel. When I bought my truck the I found the prior owner had handicapped aids on it at one time. No big deal except the steering wheel was crushed and split where his spinner had been. Found this MIT steering wheel on eBay. I was a bit reluctant but figured for $200 I would give it a shot. Well after a week, I feel it's very comfortable, well made, and definitely unique. Install was easy. Took 30 minutes. IMG_6982.jpg

Touched up my wheels, needed a fresh coat. Dropped off my Rhino step tubes to be Bullet Lined. Thinking of leaving grill chrome. What you guys think? Syke. Prepping for grill and surround to get bullet lined .20170212_114122.jpg20170212_114109.jpg

Did you install the shims to compensate the lower driver side. Was just curious because I was told that installing the 6112's alone@ top setting would rectify that. Would like to know if I need to purchase shims as well. Thanks Tundra looks awesome!

I installed the 6112's on the top setting with no spacers and had the driver's side 1/2" lower than the passenger side (which caused the passenger rear to raise up as well). Used one coachbuilder shim on the driver's side to raise it level to the passenger side. Used an additional shim on each side to raise both side's up another 1/2" over the top setting on the 6112. So 2 shims on the driver's side, one on the passenger side.

Ground to fender measurements: LF 41", RF 41", LR 42.75", RR 43"

Truck looks great scotch! I've got the 6112's on the top setting on my truck to. I've had the three shims from coach to do the same as you. Kinda leary about the alignment without ucas. Did yours align ok? Did you have to pull everything apart to get the shims in Or were you able to just drop the coilovers down and slip them in.

I have SPC/LR upper control arms that I installed with my previous suspension setup. The shims, I just dropped them down and slid them in. They sit on top of the upper spring mount.

Driver's side, 2 shims. 1 for driver's side lean 0.5", 1 for an additional 0.5" for a total of 1" over 6112 top position = 41" from ground to fender
    IMG_0329.jpg

Passenger side, 1 shim for +0.5" over 6112 top position = 41" from ground to fender

To be honest scotch, don't know who did the welding, but it needs reinforcement. I can see the edges on both sides. Needs a cap bead or 2 to bring it out just above flush. Your asking for trouble with that arm. Potential for a crack is a good possibility.

Been hearing some bad things about spc's. That's no bueno, don't think I would keep driving on those. Or even try to weld them.

Yikes! Nothing has been done to them, I bought them new from toytec about two years ago. I'll check them more closely tomorrow in the day time.

I'm not a suspension expert, but I believe the control arm is machined out of a piece of metal, whatever there using (mild, high tensile, iron, etc. I for 1 second wouldn't think Toytec would sell you a repaired control arm. Very interested in this.

The second picture of the other side looks better. It could just be the light angle. The only machined UCAs that come to my mind are the Icons. Everything else I've noticed are welded.

Got my step tubes Bullet Lined. I like it. Also vinyl wrapped the tips of my horns. I think they look better than dipped completely red. Planned on bullet lining my grill and surround, but ran into trouble trying to remove factory grill. All of the nuts stripped on me. Toyota poor design or should I say going cheap route. I wonder . Anyway I got friends in low places, haha. Getting another grill to replace. Also installed my AJT DESIGN Custom Battery Bracket. 20170218_125917.jpg20170218_134811.jpg20170218_125928.jpg20170218_132556.jpg20170218_145049.jpg
