Ditched the huge, low hanging, polished aluminum running boards in favor of these low profile steel ones. Asked wife if she's noticed anything different about the truck. She didn't. I told her that's how I feel when she comes back from nail salon.

This truck has a few YouTube videos on it but it’s an odd thing.

Who ever originally built it added automatic ac controls, steering wheel controls, the Alpine tnd-x009 with oem backup camera and has almost every TRD option on it. Looking on the “other” site I can’t seem to find much info on it. It’s been “for sale” for a long while now. Guess the guy can’t realize it’s overpriced…

Looks great! Have a set in my garage and planning to the install them this weekend. Trying to decide between top and middle setting. Didn’t want to install a block or shackle in the rear if the front rides higher than the rear, so probably going with middle. What size tire were you able to mount? More than likely getting new tires in the fall.

even on top setting, the front won't ride higher than the rear, I've had 5100s for quite awhile and they've always been great

I also have had 5100s for a few years on the top setting. I installed them on all four corners at that time. I have nothing bad to say about them and would do it again if I had to. I am currently running 18” method 701 trail series +25 offset with 295/70 Toyo AT lll.

Installed my SDHQ hidden winch, Smittybilt X2O 10K winch, and control box today.

Need to figure out how to mount a license plate. The bracket I got wouldn’t fit with the fairlead I got.

Also want to figure out a light bar solution. How have others put behind the grill? Doesn’t the hood latch get in the way?

I have a Demello winch plate and used a Tuffy folding plate bracket. Worked great.

Before you mount a light bar, do a retrofit to your headlights. There's a couple awesome LED high beams that will fit and put out a lot of light.

The company who makes my fairlead has a folding plate bracket, but I’m not sure it will fit with my shackle.

I already have a light bar button and the wires ran, and really like the output at night on backroads to see deer. I have Sealight LED’s in my OEM headlights, probably pissing people off, but I don’t have the patience for a full retrofit.

I read somewhere some folks used some of the holes around the hood/bumper area to mount the light bar. I’ve been thinking of getting the Nilight magnetic base bracket and installing it on the hood near the ditch lights. I would go with a single row bar to not block the view but still thinking it over. Sort of like this.

Also a link to where I read the grille installation

Not directly applicable to what you are asking, but information for you nonetheless. I don't know if there are brackets that are made to hold a lightbar behind the grille but mine, in an aftermarket grille, did interfere with the hood latch assembly, which I had to bend out of the way around the bar. Mine also is about a half-inch from the vertical support in front of the radiator and I had to flip my horns around because they were hitting the back of the lightbar, so not much room in there.

I’ll take a picture tomorrow if the bracket I used to mount my controller. I had to relocate one horn.

can you try repost those images? I’d like to see what you’re talking about with the latch. That’s exactly the issue I could see if I try to mount a light bar there.

Here’s the bracket I got from Tandem Off-road. The way the cables came off my controller I found it very hard to mount on anything else.

Yours will be different than my application obviously, but should be doable I think. If you go with a short bar, similar to what I marked in red, I don't think you will have any interference other than making sure you can still close the hood. A longer bar, like the green, will start to interfere with the hood latch cable/link (which I made blue and should run in front of the green bar but I drew it in the wrong order) but that can be bent and clearanced to some extent and I don't think you will have a problem with that. You might also have to flip the horns around. I'm also not sure how a longer bar will bolt in and attach but you can probably figure something out. Interested to see what you come up with  (and if you can see this picture:rofl:not sure why they only work sometimes for some people)

    Yup, that image showed up.

I ordered a 32” single row light bar. We’ll see what I do!
