I’ve been wanting to make the same move with my Tow/Haul switch. How difficult was it to free up the wiring? Last time I was in there, it looked like it was bundled up pretty tight.

They offer an oem pocket to remove the three blanks and cubby. I think I paid 25 bucks for it at my dealer. I’ll update my post with the part number if so desired

It was very tight. I didn’t undo any elec tape or anything but decided to move the LSD over one spot so the tow/haul wasn’t overextended.

Reading a little more, the website I linked isn't the actual manufacturer... so maybe what they only have non-FFV clusters... Could be two different versions?

Oof...I *almost* just did the same thing...but then I poked around here a bit. I've found a couple threads saying the Tundra and Sequoia parts are different and the units have different pin-outs, so you may be in for abit of work if that's true. Also, apparently there are FFV and non-FFV clusters, so you'd need to order the correct one there. The eBay listings out there list ALL the engines...so I'm not sure which one would be correct.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/lcd-cluster-in-a-2007.56881/

There's a post with 3 part numbers. Looks like the 83800-0CF11 is the FFV version...

Yeah, guess I’ll plug it in and see if it works.
I guess the only question is if the gas gauge will work or not.

just curious, where did u see that the “83800-0CF11” part # was the one needed for FFV?

I’m hoping it works bc the gas gauge is one of my favorites :anonymous:

I'm guessing a little bit on it, based on the fact that https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__/Instrument-Cluster/63470368/838000C570.html lists out the fitment as all Platinum Tundras (no mention of Sequoia or FFV, although it does show 2007 as the only year) and https://toyotaparts.bochtoyotasouth.com/oem-parts/toyota-gauge-cluster-838000cf11 has one vehicle listed for fitment, the 2011 Tundra Platinum FFV.

I'm going to continue looking and gathering info though...I'm sure there's a strong possibility that it's all a jumble of years, part numbers and models...and they're probably all exactly the same lol

    @shannon @Shanet421

Could either of you confirm the actual part number or possibly have a pic of the connections on your clusters? Might be too late now that they're installed, but I'd hate to order one and then guess on how much gas I have left :D

So there's definitely different part numbers for the fuel sending units - there was 3 different ones I found.

The 833200c030 was one, and depending on where you look, the fitment varies a LOT.

    FFV: https://parts.franktoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-fuel-gauge-sending-unit-833200c030

The above specifically lists it out for FFV trucks.

    BUT!!!

https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota_2009_Sequoia/GAGE-ASSEMBLY---FUEL-SENDER/63518771/833200C030.html lists the EXACT SAME part number with a huge long list of vehicles it fits (Tundra/Sequoia 2008-12) and no mention of specifically for the FFV or non.

https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/TOYOTA__/FUEL-UNIT-GAUGE-Sender-Sending/4218512/833200C030.html lists even more...and their list DOES include both FFV and non-FFV trucks.

    Confused yet?

    :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I am never that lucky to stumble into the right part is not likely. I’m betting the $80 one will work. Hell for $80 if it doesn’t there is profit to be made!

If it does, I'll kick myself for not jumping on it before @Ohannon7 did lol...I do have a saved search currently on eBay to watch for new listings. I may, in the meantime, try and find a cheap normal cluster to take apart and just to around with replacing the LEDs, get a feeling for how hard it actually is (it doesn't seem bad).

Try to find a cluster that's originally from a pre-FFV, 09 and before isn't it? I have an 08 Sequoia cluster in my '11 (both non-FFV). To muddy the waters even slightly more, make sure that you're not getting a cluster from a Sequoia that had the air ride rear suspension, there's an unneeded extra display that some won't be interested in having as well as an LED that will stay illuminated (I unsoldered mine). As far as replacing the LEDs, they're all surface mount and very tiny (like grain of rice small). They're not all the same part number either. There used to be a person who offered to change them as a service, may still be, but the one I recall hasn't been around in years. They may have been on a different board too.

A few... Definitely more than 2
Been a while since I posted up in here, but I have been saving up some projects.

I never grabbed pictures but I tossed a greyscale tri-color badge in the grille and added 2 spotlights tucked up in my tonneau that I can aim backward for some camp lighting.

I did the simple rear diff breather relocation to behind the driver side tail light.
    IMG_2238.jpg IMG_2237.jpg

Found a local deal on some rock warrior wheels with some decent tires that will go on my rig after the winter season. Rings are in great condition, the center caps need a little TLC.
    IMG_2309.jpg 66173936584__EFE85EE3-78DE-4B0B-9D39-25AD1201CC20.jpg

I also finally got around to doing some work on my bed storage solution. It is just simple cubbies to keep gear from sliding around in the bed and one dedicated electrical bay that I will continue to build out. I'm planning to throw a track with some tie-down cleats on the inside face. I will work next weekend to run my wiring back to the inverter and the rest accessories in the bed.

was relocating the switches just a matter of unplugging them from the default location and moving them or did you have to rewire stuff?

For those 2 I just unplugged rerouted wires and plugged back in. The holes for each switch are keyed to accept a specific switch. I was able to just push them in with little force and they snapped in without any modification.

I have a 2013 with all 8 wires and it did not work for me. I was only able to update the outside temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius. Something connection was missing from the harness.

Good luck to you, hope it works!

    Scenario 1
    - it’s midnight and everyone is sleeping, someone drops a nasty fart and you need fresh air asap, what do you do?

    Scenario 2
    - it’s midnight and you are sleeping, you wake up to a chainsaw murderer trying to open the tailgate or camper shell thing. Are you locked in, or could the chainsaw weirdo open a panel and “get you”?
